do you prefer to modify and personalize your cars look (interior and exterior) or do you prefer to keep it stock?
Anonymous No.28547491 [Report] >>28547930
I replaced the factory rims with OZ because I'm hardcore.

People who actually give a shit about their car but keep it stock are soulless cattle. This was 100% a trend created by people trying to keep the used car market clean.

I am a stones throw away from something very bad happening at any time, so I like to keep my vehicles as unrecognizable as possible.

I've never seen anyone making that complaint, I've seen hundreds of NPCs trying to ridicule these imaginary people for making these complaints (ooh, you're a knower, good boy)

Maybe a sticker and some mudflaps. I swap out floormats and add extra gauges for interior. I removed the back seats in my hatchback for better cargo space.
I recently got a mr2-s and I want to keep it mainly stock for exterior, at least while it's mint. Going to look out for a hard top but that's about it. Unsure what else I can do with it, it looks pretty good as it is. Maybe some better seats?

Generally prefer to keep it stock but it depends on the car.
For example if i had a CX 50 i would get the fender flairs painted because it looks cool.

Im thinking a borla atak axleback might make it more fun though (camaro SS)

I have a dedicated track car that gets modified weekly, but the rest of my fleet I keep stock. Makes troubleshooting a lot easier, and I've always eventually regretted modifying my daily drivers. Seems like people are always quick to suggest new cool things to buy without thinking about how it affects the vehicle as a whole. Plus I don't really dig the whole boy racer "bolt on fender flares and slam it" aesthetic

Keep it stock because most of the time the designers knew what they were doing, I like stuff like making it look like the best version of the model and stuff like 2 tone paint especially that black stripe many 70's and 80's cars have around the bottom. Stuff like wrong breaklights and lowering it too much just make it look busted to me. For classic cars I like to keep stuff period but it can be fun for a few weeks to have way too new wheels and stuff like that. Stuff like different region body parts can be better in one area. Stuff like the 90's Jag XJS looks weird so I think it would be cool to make it look like the 70's version.

Many people care deeply for their cars. It is a reflection of their personality and station in life

I like and welcome people putting further expression of individuality onto their cars

Cars are also peak industrial design, and it's great when people enhance that design

Yes, a lot of people are soulless sub 70 iq parasites, if we exclude them we can have a better discussion about the merits of modification
Anonymous No.28549326 [Report]
Yeah, I'll probably do some modifications at some point. Planning on a muffler + diffuser from a non-US spec of my car that we don't get here. Maybe the slightly larger spoiler from that same spec too. Then a set of aftermarket wheels and a slight ride height drop of maybe 1" or less. I'm suffering major choice paralysis over which wheels to get, though.

I like to park my modified cars next to stock versions of the same car sometimes just to show the other guy how much of a loser he is. I've never had a heavily modified car but I always always hit the Big 3, wheels tires and suspension

>Keep it stock because most of the time the designers knew what they were doing
Then why do beancounters always go and undo that design by forcing manufacturers to put everything on fuckin STILTS like some kind have fuckin MONSTER TRUCK?
picrel is the gs350 fsport how it was designed. Somewhat designed for old-man-appeasement

I'd modify my car if I didn't need it for daily driving. Planning on getting a second car now that I'm not NEETing and I will definitely do mods if I think they will be useful/neat. I really like the idea of a sleeper econobox.
Anonymous No.28550660 [Report] >>28550684
Stock by necessity. This is a weapons-grade retarded country where every single performance mod is illegal, and the only way to run them is to hide them and get them to look as stock as possible, so the least my car has to have it looked at, the better. Even for the 15" wheels I'm planning to move up to from 14's, I need to choose a set that doesn't attract too much attention.

I modify it using other OEM parts. I've replaced my grille with a paint-matched one, added fog lights from a part-shared model, added a different center seat, etc.

I'm not really a fan of tinted windows anyway, but even if I was, believe it or not here that's also illegal without going through a lengthy bureaucratic process, and still that's one of the "easiest" mods to legalize
