Had a final ride out today, the third I've done and second of the year. I don't think I'll ever be at one bigger than this with over 120 bikes. It's quite a surreal feeling having so many people come together for one person, some who wouldn't have even known that person, united by the fact they all ride.

Gave my leather boots the full spa treatment, scrub, soap and tallow to finish it off.
When all you've had before is synthetics, bringing a pair of leather boots back to mint condition with some elbow grease is very satisfying.

I have ridden through heavy storms and trust me it can always be worse.
Probably should leave some tips.
1. Don't use a hairdryer on gear as you can crack and destroy the material.
Drying leather jacket you just have to bane it and wear it in a warm environment. Boots, newspaper will suck all the water out.
2nd tip, next time have a change of clothes in a waterproof bag to wear after getting wet it improves morale soo much.

Road King air shocks fit Sportys. Use two washers between the shock and the bike for proper spacing. Took it to HD to have them air em up for free and they set them at 15psi. Bike rides so much better.

I have an Olympia suit that keeps me bone dry and it makes me feel like a real serious motorcyclist
Our family only has two vehicles, a minivan and a motorcycle, and my wife is usually doing things with the kids so she needs the minivan, therefore I must commute by bike no matter the weather
The only time I donโ€™t ride is if itโ€™s just snowed and everything is unplowed

I actually like this a lot more than the other YZFRโ€™s, the larger headlights shape it out a bubble head thatโ€™s very smooth and flowing like the late 2000โ€™s CBR
Reminds me of the motogp bikes prior to the winglet whoring

Ask R3 how many people are trying to get her number and ride her motorcycle each day.

>fuck this shit, I can do it myself
>spend $200 on a regulator and housing for it
>get the most common inline fuel filter so I will always be able to get one where ever I go
>spend hours trying every different way of routing things and no matter what it won't fit without kinking a hose
>give up and put the original back on
fuck everything. I almost want to dump the bike at my local mechanic with the parts I've collected and let them do it but I'm already deep enough on this I'm not saving any money for a very long time. I now understand why there are so many posts online of people planning to do this but none of the finished product.

Listed my Moto Guzzi for sale. I've always wanted an MZ Baghira, it's basically a Yamaha Tenrere for special snowflakes.
I liked the looks of my Guzzi, but riding it just feels like nothing, doesn't spark any joy or emotion on me for some reason, whereas just kickstarting my Ural or Izh brings immense feel of euphoria for some reason.

Cue in next month if I manage to grab the MZ/Tenere and I end up hating it too.

Sure does, but not quite sure how those engines hold up.
I've heard discussion from both ends about early Teneres. Some say they can last a lifetime, others say they're quite finicky and brittle engines.
I don't like working on jap engines for one.
