A rebrand/marketing etc takes a while. The Indians were slow on the draw, and launched the rebrand as woke had hit fatigue point.

Jaguar was never great. It was a brand that was simply tolerated and ran on the intertia of what British motoring was 75 years ago. People finally figured out it was garbage back then too which finally killed the brand.

Ironically ineos is the only British company left making British cars aside from a handful of dudes in a shed building Morgans and some cycle car manufacturers.

Agree but not all things are possible that way. As an extreme example, you can't have a real electricity market as there's joint infrastructure that's being depended upon. Just imagine a mess with many more stations, pylons and cable routes. You know one of problems with cars is amount of government rules that you must obey to be able to play, it's very hard to push past barrier of entry in terms of upfront cost without having some massive force backing you up.
