...I test drove an M8 comp. It's actually good. Handles really well, insanely fast, genuinely comfortable, thoughtfully designed interior that doesn't creak, rattle, and buzz like my American shit, and the back seats on the GC have more headroom than I expected. I really, really like this car. Fuck.

I currently own a CT5-V Blackwing. The M8 is better in every way except manual, which idgaf about because I live in South Florida traffic. That's why I'm amazed; I never thought the Blackwing would be so thoroughly outclassed by German shit. It's not even a comparison though; the Blackwing just isn't as good in any way. Less comfortable, worse handling, slower, worse ride, and significantly smaller back seat. Tbh the M8 is basically a Panamera GTS only faster and better looking.

The Blackwing has significantly better handling AND acceleration. It's faster in roll races, on tracks, in terms of top speed, basically everything but drag races from a dig due to RWD vs AWD shenanigans. It looks much better than any BMW from the outside and inside (the huge screen sucks but the BMW just has 2 huge screens so it's a wash there), has 10 MORE INCHES of rear leg room than an M8 Comp, and similar ride quality assuming you drive them both the same way

Blackwing is overrated. Comfort is 3/10 at best, the handling is excellent but no better than the M8, and the inside is loud as shit. "Hellcat in a tux" indeed. I have the precision package, btw.

Maybe it is faster in a roll race, but I don't roll race. 0-60 at a stoplight is 50% of my driving. The other 50% is interstate traffic. Honestly a fine vehicle if that's what you want, but it's not what I want. I want a comfy daily driver that can haul ass with a reasonable back seat for my kids, not a micro-sedan that rides like a shopping cart.

Honestly doesn't look bad. Zoomerboomers hate a lot of the new BMW designs, and I agree that many of the interiors are bad, but the M2, M3, and M4 look pretty good.
