And not to be mean but the 7th Gen beige interior looks atrocious, 'specially the pre facelift ones :)

I honestly liked the pre facelift one, it grew on me.
that always lit up dash pissed me off. now every dash is always one.
the facelift interior is a bit better, takes queues from the RSX.

I got the 140mph version because the 200mph one is stupid.
Makes normal driving weird since the needle doesn't move much even going 40mph+.
And if I'm on track, I'm absolutely NOT looking at peak MPH before a 148mph braking zone.
The speedo is basically irrelevant on track.

I cant import one but maybe i could get one smuggled in and vin swap. Or maybe i could try to use the rear subframe and transaxle from one to try and convert mine to AWD. This will have to wait until i can replace her and make her a shop queen.

No, it has a 594cc engine and syncro gearbox from an early Polski FIAT 126p so I don't have to worry about that. Part of me wishes it had the original drivetrain, though, as whoever did the swap only did basically the bare minimum and bodged a couple bits, which is causing me quite a few problems.

>i still see it every once in a while

i believe engine #1 blew up due to LSPI. trans was blown the day i bought it. the kid who owned it for 2months at the dealership destroyed the synchros cause he was a fat fuck and didnt know how to shift it. did the clutch while it was out. turbo eventually just fell apart and blew oil past the seals and stopped making boost. the replacement turbo failed within a couple months from ZZP. destroyed the axles due to me not knowing they have ball bearings and you cant just yank them out of the trans. discovered that after swapping the motor.

The second car in the pic is also on engine #2, which tracks.

what?

what do you mean by 'lugged it?'
replacing the turbo was a mistake? I boost leak tested it, and it made a gurgling noise, which turned out to be the core being shot and pushing oil past the seals into the exhaust housing. it smoked for hours afterwards. the turbo was completely cooked. both the manifold and the exhaust housing was also cracked. it doesnt sound like you know what youre talking about.

if anything, the zzp tune is dogshit and maybe caused a lot of issues. would not recommend.

I replaced the entire long block in the car

Ohhhh yeah. That could have been it. What engine did you use as a replacement? Is it the zzp built one?
> what is lugging
Lugging is high load low rpm under boost particularly, it causes lspi especially if you have calcium content in your engine oil. Best to keep rpms higher under load (above 2k)
> turbo was cooked
I believe that. I think my turbo is starting to leak oil, however, not much because i ever see any less on the dip stick.

0 mile crate long block NOS from LDK liquidators

couldve been. it blew up like 5 years ago before they started doing dexos gen 3 or whatever is geared for lspi.

I installed it all with new gaskets for everything, torqued everything to spec, and even replaced the manifold because i found it was cracked as well in the center housing. the wastegate from zzp was certainly defective. the metal that holds the flapper valve completely separated and i found it in my downpipe/cat.

after replacing the turbo again, it threw an underboost code once again. im going to take their tune off, and sell it. list for 10k see what happens

Based ridgeline with the seperate HVAC control unit, it's nice Honda learned their lesson from those stupid ass Accords with the climate control integrated with the radio, which means maybe in the future the aftermarket can make a double DIN kit or something that can interface with the rest of the car's infotainment and won't need the HVAC replaced.

I wish I had a farm. But I don't think I could ever own one and run it right even if I dropped everything. Also I'm just too old to ever save up the money for one. And im never going to have the opportunity to have a family or even meet a woman.

What a cool life though

Interesting. Did you pressure check the intercooler and charge pipe?

I just got an oil analysis from blackstone. Flying color pass.

Saabs had the best cockpits. The automotive world was lessened with Saabs passing.

This is also true, but all the same their wrap around cockpits were fucking rad.

Nah, at least during their last two decades. Retarded vent designs, flimsy plastic, paint and soft-touch coating that doesn't hold, le quirky cup holders too small and flimsy even for Europe, non-standard multimedia, biodegradable buttons, fake gauges, dim LCDs instead of VFDs. I can go on.

Most FWD trannyverse compacts are.
