3 boxes makes the middle box nicer. An extra layer of sound insulation. Less volume to heat or cool with hvac. No listening to cargo rolling and rattling around. Plus less weight for more efficiency. Less material means a cheaper purchase price. Trunks can always be opened regardless of how close the car is to any objects, vertically or horizontally.

-Better handling
-Lower CoG
-Better aerodynamics
-Better sound insulation from engine and trunk
-Large front and rear crumple zones
-Easily accessible mechanicals
-Great sight lines (except the camaro)
-Great looks (A long, wide, low car looks better than one that is short, narrow, and tall -Harley Earl)

This is why I hate all these bloated cuckovers and other similar pieces of shit. Just 10 years ago you could easily see pretty far in front of you even if there were lots of cars there. Now not only a single cuckover completely blocks your forward and backward sightlines but even if you manage to see over the gay piece of shit there's 10 more of the same.

You're pretty stupid aren't you? A majority of thefts like that are crimes of opportunity, smash and grabs. Monkey see, monkey steal. It's a lot less common that they go through the trouble of prying a trunk open or opening it from inside because
1. they can't see that there's something in there
2. they don't bother taking what they can't grab in 5 seconds of smashing a window and reaching through.
If you weren't some borderline nigtard yourself, you'd realize this. Security through obscurity is a great way to reduce risk.

There are no RWD cars period, as RWD is almost exclusively used by "luxury" brands with the occasional prestige sports coupe. There is also the third gen Twingo I guess.
Hatchbacks as a market segment are for poor people and are currently being displaced by cuckovers.
BMW trying was admirable but at the end of the day a person who can afford a 1 series BMW hatchback and is buying it for RWD can spend that money on a decent second hand E46 or E39, which they would.

What the fuck are you talking about? F20 (and E87 before them) were the most rental-spec shitboxes possible (and lots of them ended up in rental agencies grouped together with tiny Toyotas and some French shit). Women were buying 116i and 118i by the thousands, saw plenty of those on the road. Probably that's where "our customers can't even tell what wheel drive it is" came from. 2 liter diesels were more enjoyable to drive, yes they were a bit more expensive but still reasonable. Only the i6 performance models were less affordable.
>can spend that money on a decent second hand E46 or E39, which they would.
If all the enthusiasts are buying used "fun cars" instead of the new ones, the manufacturers have literally zero reason to cater to enthusiasts by making new "fun cars". If you can afford something fun new and are interested in it, buy it, because otherwise it will cease to exist.

Maybe read the full sentence next time?
>any person who can afford [...] AND is buying it for RWD [...]
People who value RWD are not going to buy a 116i hatchback if they can get a second hand higher spec car.
Either you don't have money so you have no choice but to buy second hand if you want to get the most performance you can afford, or you do have money in which case you aren't going for a low end product.
Voting with your wallet won't work here, the market forces are too strong and people who want a RWD and a Hatchback are a rounding error amount of the whole buying base.

Manufacturers sadly do not see any value in having such an offering, in fact most manufacturers don't see the value in RWD at all.
It is making a comeback of sorts with electric cars, so you can thank the monkey paw for that one.

Excuses again. Pathetic. But maybe you're right and hatchback fags really are the whiny pussies that can't influence the market even in the smallest.

Being higher with better ground clearance and bigger wheels is practical, and the sloped rear gives it better aerodynamics while still retaining the practical hatch trunk. The crossover is the ideal vehicle for the road and can even handle light paths. There's a reason they're so popular.

If you're really going to be relegated to the road only, and don't mind smashing the bottom of your car on every pothole, and don't transport anything but groceries, a sedan is a better bet because it gets better fuel economy.

So you can't put anything both wide and tall in it, because you're cucked by your rear window. I bought a crossover-looking cuckover because my country didn't get the wagon-looking version of it and I found out that it's relevant if you use your trunk.

Sedans are more aerodynamics
Sedans almost always get better mileage unless it's super heavy or using an inefficient engine
The few inches of lift that CUVs provide as typically irrelevant. You're still never going to be able to go proper rock crawling with one, and for normal usage the average consumer does not need the lift to begin with. Even a normal sedan can get down terrible forest service roads that are unmaintained, pitted, and full of holes.
Sloped hatch usually adds next to no storage... because it's slopped which means besides oddly shaped objects or shit that can squish you're not fitting anything big in there. Just look at the Mazda3 vs Mazda3 hatchback. In the one off instances that you find yourself needing to haul furniture you can rent a uhaul for nearly $30/d
Also CUVs handle like shit compared to a Sedan

Crossovers are a very nice upgrade from a sedan since its easier to get in and out of, more interior space, has better city driving and MPG than SUVs. Unibody gives more space in a smaller footprint than an SUV counterpart.
