What influenced your dream car?
Your tastes came from somewhere, and it was probably a movie or game.
My attainable dream car is a pre-refresh S197 GT500 because I played Sift Heads as a kid (yes I am a zoomer) and the main character had one.
I didn't even know what a Mustang was at that point, I just knew that was the car for me. (Little me called all Mustangs "GT500s" for a good while which probably made a lot of V6 owners' days)

I like round cars. These cars were my most favorites (like tipy top favorite) in the ps2 games that I owned to keep the list small.
>24/Seven Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge (also played it in World Race)
>Dodge Viper Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (also in GT3, Juiced)
>Toyota Celica rallycar Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (drove the fwd version in Juiced)
>Toyota Supra racecar Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (drove the street version in Juiced)
>Lightning McQueen Cars (picked him tons in Cars Mater-National too)
>Callaway C12 Supercar Street Challenge
Now obviously these cars and other round rides like RX-7's and catfish Camaros showed up in other games too but I either didn't own those games or they weren't my top favorite cars.

I’m into Japanese performance cars. Dream car is a R34 Vspec II Nur (probably not attainable at this point) or a gen 1 NSX (more attainable, but unlikely I’ll own one). A combo of Gran Turismo 3 on PS2 and the first Fast and the Furious set me on this path. Yeah, I’m old.

My dream car is the 1998 Chrysler Viper GTS-R in Team Oreca livery. Second place is the 2000 model year of the same car in Team Oreca Red or the STP Taisan Viper. I have an autistic amount of hours in Gran Turismo 2. I play through it several times a year and play it on every console I mod since the PSP days.

Movies. My first love was film, but quickly led to a lifelong obsession with cars.

I watched American Graffiti and fell in love with a 32 Ford coupe

Watched Smokey and the Bandit and fell in love with Trans Ams.

Those 2 and R32 Skylines, which I learned about in 2001/02 browsing the net at work.

1. I'm a sucker for handling and low weight
2. Pretty unique engine
3. I just love how it looks
The first time i ever witnessed this car was in a game called Street Racing Syndicate when i was maybe 10 or so, and everything from the manufacturer logo to how it looks stood out to me.
I didn't discover it's actual capabilities until much later on obviously but at that point it was just icing on the cake.

I watched Tokyo Drift when I was 9 and it caused irreversibly damage to my taste in cars and women.
I'm now gay for Nissans and have almost been baby trapped by multiple crazy Asians chicks.

For me, it's the first Transporter movie that molded my taste for european sports sedans. I still lust for a E38 7 series, or the Alpina one.

I found out about them on Gran Turismo. So the MX-5 and Dodge Viper are still my dream cars.
