What the fuck did you expect? Kia engines are notorious for burning fuckloads of oil. The few Velosters I see kicking around are always followed by a cloud of blue smoke.

new cars all burn oil to a degree, itโ€™s a design feature for fuel efficiency purposes. no, it doesnโ€™t make sense, but you can speak to your local government representative as to why that is.

>almost all cars burn at least a small amount of oil over a 5k mile interval
>not all oil collects in the drain pan when changing the oil (some collects in the filter, some in little nooks and dimples throughout the engine)
I wouldnโ€™t worry about it.

Every car I've ever owned burned oil.
The worse is my LS1 swapped Turd gen Camaro.
1ish quart every 2,000miles.
1 quart burned every track day.
It's a track car but still, that engine is on borrowed time.
Still pulls good though.

Yes
Typically guys will check oil levels after each secession.
So 3-4 times during the event.

the only way to know is to periodically check your oil level. however, you never get all the old oil out during a change anyway.
Anonymous No.28558750
my VA wrx does this although not as drastically. I lose about 0.2 quarts every 5K miles. all modern engines are designed to burn some oil to improve mpg. some are more egregious than others

Check for leaks, otherwise that's not bad for an oil burner, do 3000 mile intervals and you won't even notice, some people's cars are so shit they eat a qt of oil in 500 miles

Unfortunately, the super thin oil they recommend will burn off. If you do any hard driving with a zero weight oil, you will consume it.
