sorry for putting you down, i expected you to argue or something so i can show off my new parts car
back in january i bought a mercedes c200 kompressor(supercharged) hatchcoupe(picrel) and two weeks ago i bought a running and driving parts car
only thing stopping me from registering the parts car is that the car "owner" owes money to the state

what was your pride and joy and what's wrong with her right now?

Same, my beloved car bit the dust in January. I still dream about it and am sad to not see it in my driveway when I wake up.

Mine had too much chassis and body rust to pass inspection and had a dozen oil leaks. There was no saving it and at near 300k miles and 23 years it had done more than it's fair share.

My Citroen C15, the car of my late wife. That's one of the only things I have from her... I mentality cannot abandon this car, but she's getting expensive as fuck to maintain. Hogan fucking died and now it's the fucking C15... Water circuit exploded like the engine, there is rust getting everywhere. I can no longer assume this shitbox.

I totaled mine street racing but at least it died doing what it loved
It was my first car, and as far as I'm concerned, the best car I've ever had

That's a nice death for a car.

I love my current car, but if I totaled it today I'd just get a better one tomorrow. Racehorses and work animals are put down the instant they retire or become a hassle to take care of, so if you've done anything more than maintenance on your car then you've already given it a better "life" than most animals.

>Citroen C15
uhm
If you really want, you could take the engine block, wheels, seats, or other recognizable parts of the car and make a cool piece of furniture. Your late wife would not want you to keep driving that shitbox forever

I need to find the strength to move on. Right now; I cannot, I don't have that dog me and I really have a hard time letting it go. But yeah, I should do a cool thing with it then buy a Volvo or something like that.

if i were you i'd probably find a place to keep the c15 and fix it over time while getting another car as my daily. take care

But yeah, I really tired the best I can to maintain and keep this car alive... And then you see her on the dépanneuse (I forgot the word in English). At least the guy who took it was nice.
>>28558384
That's a lot of bucks that had to be engaged, even if you're damn right.

>get 05 Accord from dealership in Spring 2016
>109,000 miles on odo
>best/newest car I’ve ever owned
>babied it whilst also taking joy rides in it down winding back roads
>tree at home falls on it during a storm and crushes the roof in Summer 2017
>too soon for such a fate
>brokenhearted as the insurance totals it and gap coverage covers the remaining payments on the loan
>155,000 miles on odo
>sits at Copart for a year until it was finally auctioned off
>keep track of it on Carfax
>owner continues driving it for another 70,000 miles
>might have spotted it on the road once or twice with a new black roof
>currently has over 220,000 miles (est.) but the owner can no longer get it to pass emissions
I still miss her.

you don't have to get it fixed all at once, you can let it sit there for a while and repair what you can when you have the money/time. kinda like a project car

My engine just blew and I'm deciding whether to attempt a rebuild or do a remanufactured engine. I'd buy it back if someone's insurance tried to total it.

My Mazda3 first gen has engine problems right out of the go. Ended up needing a new engine which I decided was ok because I love driving it, and it was 5 grand to get it fixed and I drive it for a month and learn there's a problem with the engine. Mechanic said he put oil in it by the time I got it of course. Now there's this clicking with the engine they checked out and said it's ok to go for years. I'm keeping a 5 liter of synthetic in the back seats. I paid 5 for the car to begin with

My hilux had a dead battery yesterday after a four hour drive. Replaced with a new battery but there's a really bad smell in the cab and I can't identify it. None of the locks work even when I try to manually pull them up or down. No smoke just a really really bad smell.

Were brown seats a factory option for your car?
