why should we have any sympathy for some moron making a bad financial decision? no one forced him to go to a DEALER for a USED CAR of all things. in an age where you can ask chatgpt a simple question and it will plan out your entire financial future for the next 40 years, you have only yourself to blame if you do stupid shit like this

Gen Z barely sees the money it makes. It would literally make zero difference to our daily lives if we were indentured servants who were provided with food and a bed in exchange for working a 9-5.
Boomers didn't pull themselves up by their bootstraps, they climbed up a a ladder and then pulled it up behind them.

The car was sold for fair value. Absolutely a $5k car in today's market. The only shady shit was pocketing the $500 which honestly is his own stupidity and wouldn't have changed a thing since they'd have fucked him on the "documentation" fee anyway.

The biggest scam is this retard buying another car in under a year because he got promoted and his boss wants him to use HIS truck. Fucking scam the retard is falling for while financing his boss's business is insane to me.

My gen z colleagues spend the day buying shit they see on Instagram all fucking day it's insane. I don't make shit, same as them, but I have no sympathy for their dumb asses.

Bosses don't care because we're contract so they can't do anything without paying out a huge fee to get rid of us. Sucks because I actually like the job but this younger generation is retarded honestly they're not even learning basic skills of the workplace.

I'm skinny fat, but my job requires me to shave :( so I look the exact same as I did in highschool, just a little plumper. I also still occasionally get acne breakouts still, which doesn't help. Not all the time, just every couple of months at inopportune times, even though I still use face wash everyday.

> 19-year-old kid walked into a used car dealership, looking to trade in a 2010 Ford Escape with 185,000 miles on it. It was worth maybe $500 to $1,000, @thetruckcenter said.
>But there was a major problem: The kid still owed $4,200 on it.
>The customer had just gotten promoted and needed a truck for his job.

Jesus this kid is stupid, his parents failed him. !st he has no idea how loans work, or the value of the vehicle, but then even his boss takes advantage of him by promoting him and forcing him to get a truck for company use. Good old southern edumacation right there.

So they create a vehicle, its worse than a sedan but still not good enough to be a truck. I thought that suv's were supposed to be like a car but with the convenience of a truck. What job even makes you use your own truck anyway, lawn work or whatever, the Escape can probably still haul a decent amount or just get a trailer.

Make natural selection great again. Also ban usury because it raises prices for even responsible spenders.

anon, I hate to break it to you but people work like they are paid. maybe, just maybe, if all those ceos directed some of their unreasonably huge salaries towards paying their people more then maybe you would see people actually workin instead of slacking off? our generation is absolutely right in our attitude towards work. if you want to be a slave to some nepo baby the its a (You) issue, we work as hard as were paid.

>My gen z colleagues spend the day buying shit they see on Instagram all fucking day it's insane. I don't make shit, same as them, but I have no sympathy for their dumb asses.
Because long term planning, responsibility, work ethic, financial education, etc. are supposed to be taught in school. The education system is in absolute shambles, compounded by limp wristed parents who never discipline their kids because it's difficult and/or they want to be their kid's cool friend rather than their dad, so now you have young adults coming out into the real world with absolutely no clue, no motivation, and the mental maturity of a 10 year old. On top of that being told that you need to save $300k for a house (and better act fast because prices keep rising!) when your leftover money after bills and basic necessities is like $500 is some bullshit, so naturally many just give up on the spot and proceed to either just spend that money on instant gratification or chase get rich quick schemes (stocks, crypto, becoming an influencer, etc.) which never work out. Basically an entire generation set up for failure.

i see forum posts here and there of cost cutting happening at burger auto stores like autozone and o reillys etc. you used to have grey beards working there that could rattle off the part number of some obscure trim piece without hesitation or figure out that your model was made right after a change on the assembly line to stop people scratching their ass so it's using a different part number. but those kind of people are just too expensive to pay so let's just hire some high school kid that has no idea that cars need air filters what's the worst that could happen?
