I was looking for a specific video about a Model T and one of the results was a terrible AI-generated video about "Ford's new 2026 Model T" and looking into the channel sent me down a rabbit hole of AI-run channels with hundreds of videos and shorts each, all regurgitating more or less the same bullshit and uploading at least one new video every single day.
One channel had two particularly interesting AI-generated shorts about a poor Indian farmer, one of which was 'narrated' in Hindi.
When are we nuking India?

My assumption is someone is selling courses on how to make quick money on the internet, and they teach making AI videos for youtube gets you free views and money.
Of course the real money would be in selling idiots courses, not in generating videos.
Just a hypothesis, I have no proof. But that's how it works for much of the shitty spam regarding dropshipping, crypto, financial courses, etc. Some make stupid amounts of money by convincing idiots they can make millions if they pay them for the secret formula.

The AI horseshit is everywhere. You can't even look up shit like how to diagnose issues with a fucking dishwasher without running into obvious GPT slop.
I suppose it's inevitable, given how someone with a little script could churn out semi-convincing websites and fake guides/reviews for a thousand different topics in a day. If even a few of those end up producing some Amazon affiliate clicks or YouTube views, it might be worth it for some poorjeet.

The Internet needs some kind of provenance mechanism to filter out this crap.
