the 2wd version of the ridgeline has the same braked towing capacity as my 30 year old uni-body sedan. Why do I need this much truck if it can't actually tow more?

Any vehicle with a width of over 70" is for retards. You severely limit your driving capability. I always laugh at truckolds not being able to slink past me and make a right turn on red, or have to park way in the back of a lot because they can't fit that air hauling hunk of shit in a spot.

Paying more for less is not a triple digit IQ move. You're paying for driving dynamics and interior comfort when you get a Ridgeline. At that point you might as well just get a Pilot or CRV.

Modern sedans are nowhere near as capable as old sedans. A modern shitbox kia in no way can compete with a v8 body on frame crown vic. We used to haul a decent size utility trailer with a crown vic, and it never broke a sweat.
