a mixture of 4F freeze response and being mentally weak and slow. a non white driver (male) would have driven through the gate as if it was nothing. a white male would do the same but would have stayed around to report the situation to authorities

Those warning sounds, lights typically turn on 5-10 seconds before begin to arms come down. He should have not driven in there when the flashing red warning lights turned on. When he was trapped in he should have floored the throttle to break the bar to escape from train collision. He got what he deserved.

Nah, that's a super rare situation
They're easy to break off because people in parking garages slip off the brake pedal all the time, and if the arm comes off easily you can just plop it back in place without replacing anything
