I just love the feel of all the syncros and gears sliding into to place, transmitted through my ND2's stick. It's so satisfying to my autism. I will concede that modern auto is superior in performance but I love the feeling.

It's like with shooting. I aways had an AR till I got an old bolt action and just enjoy it more for the tactile stimulation. You go from just driving it to being an integral mechanical part of the machine.
