my lesbian neighbors own two crosstreks, and subaru literally markets directly to the alphabet people. if I had to choose between the two, I'd go forester in black just to make the stupid black plastic cladding less noticeable, and it's more space than the crosstrek

Subarus are good cars; but if you get a new one get the lame ass lane assist system disabled at the dealership. It sucks.

If she's willing to get you a Forester or an Outback then you'd be better off with it over the CrossTrek. I think the Forester has more buttons and less screens than the Outback at this point so I'd probably lean towards a Forester.

If you want speed you could get a WRX or a BRZ.

She’s putting down 15000 and putting another 3000 for payments until l get back on my feet since I’m broke from college. Might be worth investigating how the CVTs are when the car is loaded up and whether you can still get any of those with the 5EAT auto. And whether that is any better if you can. I don't know if I'm just being a boomer or something but I just think lugging fridges around on a CVT sounds like something I would look into if I were going to have to drive it myself. BUT I can't be fucked doing that which is why I'm suggesting you do it instead. I don't like a lot of the shit Subaru do nowadays (EyeSight, CVT, lol no manual, etc.) but driving their older (2000s) cars has always been nice when I've done it. I hope you and your grandma are
