Manual seats are superior to the automatic bullshit we get.

Idk man, I kinda dig the convenience. I get that it's heavy but in anything that's not sporty it's probably worth it imo.

Literally every manual seat I have is janky in some way. You learn to throw your weight at the right angle or jiggle the handle just so, but none of them just work.

I wish I had the manual versions of my seats. But sadly bmw usa is obsessed with luxury and would never offer a true base model over here.

I get no respect around here, no respect.
Also the seats usually break either before I buy the shitbox or while it's sitting for a spell, waiting for some non-seat related thing to be fixed.

You can buy a brand new 5 series in Germany with cloth manual seats. There's no excuse.

This is one of those new car features that are pretty worthless and forgettable.
I adjust my seat once every 6 months when the mechanic fucks up my seating position, that's fucking it.

I'm only getting manual seats from now on, because of gay safety regs you can't adjust seats in some cars while driving anymore. Uncomfortable? Deal with it, can't have you distracted...

In my old car whenever I had to swing the seat all the way forward to get something out of the back I had to mess with it for a couple minutes to get it at an angle that felt right, then after a few minutes of driving I'd have to mess with it again.
with my power seats I just use the memory function and it always goes back to the perfect position instantly.

You might be a tranny if you don't have a preference for female height. If you're chill dating a bitch that's significantly taller or shorter than you, you either like getting pegged or you need to take a seat over there Chris Hansen style.

I'm not surprised. In normal cars power seats have more settings than manuals, they have continuous adjustments instead of big stepsand can be conveniently adjusted even while driving.

Based.

Manual seat with those fuck ass extra stiff knobs for reclining?

Sometimes yes. But sometimes the limited adjustment of manual seats makes it difficult to find the right spot.
Anonymous No.28573868

Exactly, the limit the manual options to force you to buy the automatic with better adjustment. Just as if you get the manual seats you lose steering wheel adjustments.

they think whats the point if a 300 pound whale sits on them. The only reason to get manual seats is saving 20 kg, as the feature itself is completly useless on a personal car

This is the one thing I like power seats for too. I often drive my dad's car when I go out to dinner with my parents or whatever (I drive a truck that's too tall for my mom to get into) and my dad is 6" shorter than me so it's nice having my seat and mirror positions saved and not having to go through the whole adjustment process.

Anonymous No.28575241
The only good part about manual seats is reaching over to pull up the passenger side lock bar while simultaneously slamming the brakes to send your parent/bro/gf careening towards the dash. Otherwise power seats are objectively superior and idfk what cope you have to spew about that.
Anonymous No.28575242
>>28575232
That doesn't change my point. Also being obese isn't the only way to break a seat. You do realize that manual seats still have mechanical parts and those parts can break. Electric seats work _almost_ identical to mechanical with the difference being that a motor controls their movement rather than manual pumping or latching.

At the end of the day manual seats can still break, especially if you man handle the levers. This isn't rocket science.
