Would you be for EVs if there was mandatory battery standards so as to ensure a robust non-OEM battery market?

Yeah, but i wouldn't buy one. I'd take those fancy government-mandated standard batteries and shove them in an EK hatch.

No, because EV's are white goods instead of symbols of status or lifestyle. They are boring to drive and rely on technological gimmicks to stand out in any meaningful way.

I would get one if the batteries were easily swappable like the BYD models. Quite frankly, if ownership of the battery were taken off my hands and put into the manufacturers, or a third party battery swap station, then I will buy one. Owning a $15-20,000 battery is not viable for a working class person. That's how you have to look at it. A fucking lithium battery is the most quickly depreciating asset I can think of, and buying one so expensive is just fucking yourself out of a significant amount of money.

Battery swap method I mentioned:

I'm tired of China getting to live in the future while we're stuck trying to uplift other races that are from the past...

It is so frustrating that the fucking radio control industry quickly adopted a standard size/voltage system yet every fucking automaker wants their own proprietary crap.

You wish
The only thing standard in RC batteries is the balance connector, and even that might not be true for a lot of quadcopters.
