I'm pretty sure they call it "essence" in Morocco and Mauritania too. I've driven through both of them in petrol powered cars twice in the last two years. I always asked for "essence" at the petrol stations, and the attendants always gave me the right kind of fuel.

Some of the bougie stations have 88 e15 for 5 cents per gallon less than 87 e10. There's also some e85 out there but it's not common. The rarest one to find now sadly is 87 non-ethanol, it's almost as expensive as 91 non-ethanol.
