Cabin air filters are the biggest dealer/mechanic scam out there. I had to have the dealer put a battery in my truck recently due to battery management bullshit that's a pain in the ass to reset without the factory computer, and they tried to talk me into like $150 for a cabin filter while I was there. I went to Autozone, paid less than $20 for one that's literally the same thing as the OEM (same supplier), and it took 5 minutes and 4 screws to install.

Thats where they think they got ya... It's complex because it involves turning a screwdriver. Unfortunately a lot of John Q Public are too dumb / intimidated to do something as 'complex' as turning a screwdriver. / even checking the user manual to see how 'nothing' it is to deal with... I used to have friends (male) afraid of changing a tire, and I've had to teach them

Loosen lugnuts
Lift
Remove lugs
pull off / beat off tire
apply spare reversing process...

First time I tried to do my own oil everything went well until the filter. The chain mechanic that did it last tightened that thing with the strength of Hercules. It even stripped my filter wrench. Doesn't help that the 5VZ-FE puts their filter in a miserable spot to reach. I consider any premium I pay on oil changes to be well worth it for that truck.

Long story short, my cousin(call her R) was in an extremely abusive relationship with another JW(she was raised as one also). Always getting her ass beat. Finally R decides to leave the guy. The church excommunicates her. Her sister(my other cousin, call her L) totally disowns her, and pretty much the rest of the family because of it. R comes to family gatherings, but L never does because R is likely to be there. My sister ended up buying a house literally 200 feet from L, and L never even would wave at my sister. Then my sister and her son(my nephew) were killed in a car crash, and L acted like she was going to be a member of the family, but really doesn't make any effort. My nephew never even got to meet that part of the family, and they were literally a footballs throw away.

Not that guy but its brainwashing cult. Each "kingdom" is its own little sect. Member give all their property to the kingdom and they then provide for them. Lets say your children don't want to be in this sect anymore and leave which is gonna be hard because lol no money, kingdom will exile them and no one is allowed to talk to them, even the parents and if found out will get punished or exiled as well but remember all their shit belongs to the kingdom so good luck.

Only reason i looked into them was because 2 of my classmates were JW. They told me about the blood thing. Okay whatever but they didn't go to school trips because they aren't really supposed to interact with outsiders. Only reason really why they even went to school is the "laws of the land" demand it. If we didn't have a law that demanded everyone needs to be in school until age 18 they would've probably be homeschooled.
Real fucking disgusting shit comes from the JW's past. It started with some pastor reading the bible and saying "on this year 1911 its gonna be end of the year" but it didn't happen so oops it was actually 1914. WWI started and oh boy he must be right but again no rapture happened to again date was pushed to 1915,1916 and then 1918. War ended and then it was 1921. At some point the original pastor died and some greedy fuck took over and believers started to give their shit to the JW. in great depression most JW believers lived in tents and starving while management was buying villas in LA. This doomsday thing ended after WWII and whole "church" has memoryholed it as much as they can out of embarrassment.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to run it up at the stealership over stupid shit when you go through them, I've been quoted $1000+ over four Falken 195/65/15 tires that I can get for like $400 on Amazon and then mount em up for $139.99 at said stealership, certain things are actually competitively priced at the stealership like fluid changes and batteries for some reason, but I wouldn't get parts from them unless you want a warranty on the part and it's a labor intensive thing where a re-do would kill you financially.
