I just lost a sale on a car because the ChatGPT told the customer they were paying too much for it. Keep in mind this customer has a 530 credit score and a prior repo. Is this gonna be normal in car sales and commerce? People just punching information into AI and relying on it to guide them?

In Sweden there's an online service where you input the registry number and the site gives you an estimated value. It gets you slightly overpriced estimates but it's atleast something to go by. It even shows the car's previous listings. ChatGPT got shit on that.

I used to repo cars. One of the dealerships had an Altima they had sold and repoed 37 times. I personally repoed it 5 times. It was probably a $5000 car at the time, and every one of those sales was a $1200 down payment and a couple months of $400 payments, then it would get picked up after they missed a payment. The guy that ran the dealership said he'd made nearly $80k off it.
