Touch Up Paint
I ordered some OEM touch up paint and the place that is going to add a ceramic coating and PPF said they will do the touching up, but they don't sand down the clear coat. Is this that big of a deal?

you do not sand down any clear coat to add touch up paint. touch up paint is only to fill in damage from rock chips. when somebody sand's the paint is to remove heavy oxidation and swirls from the clear coat and then they use rubbing compound with a polisher to remove the sanding marks.

>touch up paint over clear coat
You're not gonna be able to see a 'clear coat sandwich' if that's what youre thinking.

Painting is not as difficult as it seems.

But preparing the surface BEFORE painting is the worst and most time-consuming part.
