There's actually a monster truck who uses a driver that was from Motocross so they built all the controls inside the truck like a bike.
Dude is standing there like hes in some Pacific Rim juggernaut.
They STILL won't use a fucking van made for that exact purpose, noooo, they need one ad hoc design which cost X times more than buying an already existing product that does exactly the same fucking thing.
And what's up with the enormous retarded looking bumper?

USPS tried these out and the results were not good, which is why the swapped the for Metris vans, which are expensive to maintain, but are at east more reliable than a rebadged Fiat built in Mexico.

Is there actually a good reason why sliding doors aren't more common on non-minivans? Easier to get in and out of, no issues in tight parking garages or when you have to park on a busy street. Seems like a logical thing.

There is literally nothing wrong with Ducato as a van platform. There's a reason why like 70% of European motorhomes are built on that platform. It's not Fiat's problem that Americans are retarded and don't want to use the bombproof diesel engines the vans were designed around and they've had to shove a shitty petrol engine in there.

this. >van: europe >bomb proof diesel that will run flat out 160kmh all day between plumbing jobs >same platform and engine used for camper vans >usa; we cant have that its both reliable and fuel efficent. >install turbo v6 gasser instead >oh no its crap, its italian/french engineering...

Plenty of them see a lot of mileage. The same engine and platform is used in panel vans also. And those get high mileage. In the case of Ducato the Iveco diesels will comfortably go to 500 000 km with just the basic maintenance. Same with Peugeot and Citroen variants with both the older Ford Duratorq or the current PSA DW engines. The biggest issues they have is having to occasionally replace front suspension components and some electrical issues on the older ones. The Ducato platform doesn't even rust as badly as some panel vans do.
