Would you rather have a car that looks fast and sounds fast and feels fast but isn't fast like a Mustang or a car that looks slow and feels slow but is actually fast like a Tesla
Anonymous No.28579168

the former, no point a car being fast if it doesn't actually feel fast.

The question would be harder if it was car that sounds and feels fast but looks slow vs car that is fast and looks fast but doesn't feel fast.

Feeling fast is better than being fast. Being fast means nothing to me, as the only determining factor is how much money you're willing to pour into it.

I love the sound of a lopey overlapped cam in a V8. Don't care if anyone thinks it 'sounds fast'.

In the end I prefer feeling, sounding, and being fast.

There's no point in a car being fast if it doesn't feel fast, and sound matters a lot. I'd rather have a 15 second car that feels riotously fast when I'm driving the twisties and sounds like a Zonda than a car that runs 9s silently and somehow "doesn't feel fast".

The Tesla. I always feel guilty driving fast knowing I'm pissing away gas money. With an EV I'd be unstoppable I'm afraid. Then again I'd lose a lot more money with an EV because their resale value tanks. The average person in an average MPG car only spends 1k a year in gas. EVs lose like 8k in value each year...
