>other foot down on accelerator and rev it up
Nig behavior to do it on a busy street, though.

Be glad anon, I used to have a good time doing huge brake boosted peelouts on my FWD but I just wasted my fucking tires like an idiot

I was always too poor to shred my tyres.

I'd rev it up, drop the clutch and feather the brakes, let it redline and pop a few times and then get off the brakes and countersteer as it fishtails up the road
Anonymous No.28580677 >>28580725
rev it like bam bam bam bam then select D for maximum respect

I've done many. Mostly in miatas on shitty tires. I used to do it at a particular red light on my way to work and peel out when the light went green. Never got trouble for it despite doing it multiple times a week in commuting traffic.
It's good, clean fun.

if you're in a manual, let the clutch grab a bit, rev the engine and then fully let go of the clutch. helps preload the drivetrain so gears don't smash into each other due to backlash

I have done one handbrake turn in my life. Was scared shitless and haven’t done one since.
Probably my last one ever desu given there are no manual handbrakes anymore.

there will be a point where the brakes can hold the front wheels, but not the rears.

Short of being held in place by an external force, you're not doing a burnout with awd.

The purpose of an AWD system is to stop power to the slipping wheels. you can't

>The purpose of an AWD system is to stop power to the slipping wheels.
no its not, youre thinking of 4wd off road vehicles
Anonymous No.28582346 >>28582351

??? In FWD and RWD, an LSD transfers power from the wheel with less traction to the wheel with more traction. As a result, you have to overcome two tires' traction instead of just one which is why LSD cars need more horsepower for a burnout.
With AWD, you have to overcome all four wheels' traction which would require exceptionally shitty tires/road or enough horsepower to wheelie the car and even then it'd only last for a split second
Anonymous No.28582351 >>28582356
>>28582346
No, LSDs don’t magically reroute power; they just limit slip. AWD doesn’t need a wheelie – you just need enough torque to overpower four patches instead of two. You’re mixing concepts.

>>28582351
Nigger what fucking force is keeping the car in place to do a burnout exactly?
If all 4 contact points with the ground are spinning, you won't just sit in place.
Anonymous No.28582367
>>28582356
Exactly – that’s why AWD doesn’t sit still doing a smokeshow. It grips and launches. But the statement ‘AWD stops power to slipping wheels’ is still wrong – it’s about power distribution, not cutting drive.

I have, in reverse on accident. Forward was on dirt. Trucks spin the tires easy even when you don't try.
