Shopping on Facebook marketplace has genuinely been a terrible experience.
>deceiving cunts with rebuilt / salvage titles
>bots and scammers
>fake / old photos of the vehicle
>minorities
I'm about to give up and go to a stealership.

Congratulations, you're officially no longer a latinx. You are white!

buying stuff on marketplace isn't about the destination, its about the journey itself. You must dumb yourself down to the average fb minority and work your way up from there

Ever since craiglist went to 5$/ad the amount of options listed on it plummeted. This is a goddamned shame because somehow fucking CRAIGSLIST, basically just raw HTML vomited onto the web page, has far, far better search features than Facebook marketplace, but FB has 5-10x the available listings for whatever you're shopping for.

the problem is transacting in used goods

respectable white folks only buy new and throw them back to the stealyershit after 3 years. losing 5-20K/year in depreciation is worth it not to have to interact with undesirables

Who the hell even owns Craigslist?
Should have done what Facebook did and have a pay option where your listing was boosted.
That wouldn't have disrupted Craigslist like it did.

the only experience that can rival trying to buy a car on facebook marketplace in how unpleasant it is, is trying to sell a car on facebook marketplace

they had to do it because BHPH dealershits were relentlessly spamming listings in the by owner section.

if 5-20K/year is your entire disposable in-cum, u should not even be thinking about cars

99.99% of humans don't deserve to be living, much less enjoying things like new cars or iPhones or other consumer slop

if you make less than 300K/year, you are a failed "human"

that's why I love California. it auto-filters out human genetic dead-ends. if you aren't a multi-millionaire, you can't afford to live and play here

same for cars

Generally when I buy on marketplace I always assume the seller is lying about everything, and that there will be hidden damage and issues that isnโ€™t being disclosed. Then I buy with that in mind. My main criteria are that the engine starts, that it moves, the body isnโ€™t rusted out, and that it has a clear title. I assume there will be mechanical and electrical issues I will have to deal with so I wonโ€™t buy it unless itโ€™s being sold for below market value.

Moderation? Filters? My Craigslist still has tons of $1 bhph posts

>Moderation? Filters?
LMAO. What moderation? What filters? It's craigslist nigga. As far as I know, these days flagging is basically a placebo that hides things for you. In the late 2000s I remember flagging dealerspam and scams and actually seeing them disappear after flagging a few times using different IPs, but I haven't seen anything get removed after flagging since probably 2015. I hardly use craigslist anymore since it's basically dead in my area.

It's a shame craigslist died because their search was unmatched. You can't search SHIT on facebook, it's worthless. You can pick an area OR something to search for but good luck searching for something in an area, I still get stuff states away.

Ya, Browns ruined the FB marketplace.
Used car dealers killed Craigslist.

Gotta deal with white dudes on FB.
I sell stuff to white guys all day and it's always fine.

>looking at a few different cars, mostly overpriced
>see one promising one for slight overs but looks good
>try it, owner seems chill, tell him i'll come back with my mechanic buddy tomorrow if that's fine then we can take another look and make an offer
>he says yep cool only one other person looking at it today
>i say if they seem serious let me know and we can arrange something
>he agrees
>get message later in the day
>"yeah he wanted the car tomorrow so i just sold it"
