you can get a decent HJC for like 100-150. Compare it to a shoei though and you'll immediately understand why the shoei is so much more expensive

there is none, while you don't need a $1000 race helmet, please up your budget to $250 and you'll unlock a lot of good helmets

stop listening to these fools

OP you are riding a puny 250cc barely able to get to 60mph motorcycle. You dont need to pay more than $100. Just get any cheap full face helmet and youll be fine. Shoei and Arai are expensive scams. Unless you are racing in motogp you dont need their helmets.

You're more than likely to hit your knees and break your collarbone so use that money to get a jacket, decent motorcycle trousers, boots and gloves. Also high vis. Consider wearing air bag vest as well.

Look at these fools from other countries riding puny smol bikes thinking their hitting their head. Their more than likely breaking your spinal column than hitting their head so always wear jacket instead.

Not OP. I've watched someone die by flying into a tree after fucking up one corner. His helmet shattered on impact and I saw his brains on the ground. It's the only time I've seen someone die. Just saiyan.

Also add to that even if shoei or arai managed to not break the impact would have caused massive brain trauma best case is peobably him being a vegetable for life

If it didnt broke his skull did he wore airbag vest? If he didn't more than likely hell get spinal fracture which will make him paralyzed for life.

Motorcycles are cheaper than cars after you get the good gear.

It's buy once cry once anon. How much is your melon worth?
Anonymous No.28582893
OP, if you can budget $100, just fucking wait it doubles and then some. $200-250 for a piece of gear that will last 5-8 years comes out to less than a $4 month expensiture in the long run.

Don't hate. This is why it's more expensive to be poor. Higher upfront costs can often lead to lower total expenditures. It can be a viscious circle where a lack of liquidity ends up costing you even more money.

I had online motorcycle talk man. Every retard just treats it like their toy or hobby. Nobody takes it seriously. I just want to commute from point A to B. If I didn't live in the shitfarted states of assmerica I'd take public transit. I don't give a fuck about going over 50mph. I'm saying $100 shouldn't be viewed as expensive because bikes eat consumables. Tires and sprockets cost money. Oil changes are more frequent. You'll have to buy tools or pay a shop because they ALL need work. Etc.

People who complain about public transport don't have a solid understanding of the services they provide, shit if all else fails there fuckin Uber or this crazy concept of carpooling with a coworker.

Arai are good helmets. But there is a lot of good helmets.
>autocross
usually they don't give a shit what kind of helmet you have
>karting
rental places? don't give a shit, actual kart racing they will want you to have a Snell K- helmet usually
>hpde
will usually want you to have a Snell SA- helmet, also consider budgeting for a neck restraint system ($400+)

Racequips are popular enough, they're probably fine.

if you're driving or riding in a car with harnesses then you really should have one, it's pretty common for instructor's to have the Simpson hybrid because they also work with regular 3-point belts

You know it's hard to not be disgusted at poor people and their mentality. They do this for everything. They create problems for themselves at every turn by being cheap. It's not even a matter of actually having the money it's a mental illness. They need to be sold on every fucking dollar spent.

OP, listen carefully. Read and understand:
>How the helmet fits is more important than its cost.
This isn't something you should try for online. Google it, watch a couple of videos about a good fitting helmet. Go to a shop, try on helmets starting with the cheapest first until you get one that fits right. That's your poorfag helmet. Don't half ass this, since you'll be wearing it a lot.

This is true, but it's also important to point out that it still needs to be a quality helmet with legit safety ratings, buying a mystery chinkshit helmet with a fake DOT sticker just because it seems to fit well isn't the way to go either.
