EV Tax Credit ENDING
The $4000 used USA EV tax credit ends in a month. A unique perfect storm of the tax credit on its last legs and deranged political hate of Elon driving down used prices has made Teslas an amazing deal

A cheap soulless electric transport pod is still a soulless electric transport pod, /n/igger.

I'm glad I got my 3 in time. I'm less glad it's a '21 non-LFP and thus has a pack that will probably die.

does this work for used EVs? If I find someone selling a Tesla for $10k does that mean I can buy and I only have to pay $6k?

If I find someone selling an EV for $4,000 does that mean I get it for free?

>In addition, your modified adjusted gross income (AGI) may not exceed: $150,000 for married filing jointly or a surviving spouse
My magi is over double this. I'm not poor enough to use this credit

it's a 30% credit, so you'd get $3000 back on that $10K car. there are other requirements too like having to buy from a dealer and there's an income cap as the other anon pointed out.

Kek I remember coming here and saying this was going to happen must to the dismay of the EV redditor cultists that all believed Kamala was gonna win

It really has. I thought I got a good deal when I got my Model S Performance for 39k and nowadays a Plaid is just slightly more than that.
I try to cope with it by saying that the acceleration from 0-80 between the two of the is nearly identical and realistically that's where you are 99% of the time anyway

It shows that this thread is mostly inorganic shills because that credit apparently works on PHEVs as well. Rather than a Tesla, you can go pick up a used BMW 330e/745e, a Cadillac ELR, a Mercedes S550e, Porsche Panamera e-Hybrid, or even one of the newer used Audi A8 models along with many more I didn't mention (which all have ICE motors)
>in nearly every case you're much better off with the non-PHEV versions of each of these anyway, mostly negating that $4k discount but it's an option

i really just want the "fully" automated driving. I don't give a shit about the EV part

it sucks so many dealers are including the tax credit in their online listing price.
