Now that production of the R35 GT-R has finally ended, how do we feel about it?

Awesome car, especially when you could get a used one for 45/50k and make a dragstrip monster. With what they cost near end of production though, it's just not worth it. Too many options at that price point
Anonymous No.28588229 [Report]
Good but overpriced even a used 20yo version I'd too much given how tacky looking they are

It was very Japanese and very unique. I’d never buy one but I’m glad they did it their own way and it worked.

It's what sparked the whole burgurgking lap time circlejerk instead of focusing on driver enjoyment, it was the final nail in the coffin for manuals, it was the final nail in the coffin for lightweight sportscars. Understeering pigfat dynoqueen. It was a detached computer on wheels that made anyone good at driving and disconnected vehicle from driver. It sparked the beginning of the end for automotive enthusiasts because everyone and their grandma went online to shill "AUTOMATICS R FASTUR THAN MANUALS LOOK AT DA GTR"

It was a mistake
Nissan is a shit company
It opened the door to retards that didn't know how to drive fast but wanted a fast car
Pigfat undeersterring detached disconnected Riced out awd nissan altima.

I don't feel anything about it.
I've never driven one.
I don't think I've ever even seen one in person.
As far as I'm concerned it may as well never have existed.

Good riddance. R35 is quite literally the beginning of the downfall. It pioneered whole lap time circlejerk, and bloating the cars to extreme sizes so they are fat, understeery, got fucking ipads as center console, and have as much electronics in cars as possible.
Fuck Nissan and fuck R35 GTR

Was a neat car till about 2015. Should been replaced after it.
Porsche went through 3 generations of 911s during the time where the GT-R was in Production

That was Japan's last hurrah before their economic bubble collapsed. Nissan was able to release the R33 and R34 with what they had left.

i think people would have been warmer to it if the price didn't increase so much year over year
It was fat and automatic... but it lasted so long in production that every other car turned into that anyways
it was supposed to be a bang for your buck super car but that stopped being a thing a decade ago
it a novelty if you can grab one for 1/3rd the price second hand but that's about all it has going for it

Exaggerated. The 997 debuted before the R35, then the 991 came out in 2011, and now the 992 in 2019.

I feel nothing. It was always just a G37 with a bodykit to me. Slow and pigfat. It was meh back then and meh now. Unless you're going to drop $250k into it and turn it into a 2000+hp straight line car there are much better options out there.

And while we're at it, let's not forget that the R390 was Nissan more or less rebodying the Jaguar XJR-15. It's why the car looks so fucking weird.

then everyone got gay and retarded and a 2010 is like 80k still
A BMW M6 from back then was probably the same or a little higher sticker price and now it can be picked up for under 20k

I drove an r35 and was pretty impressed at how quickly it could stop despite its large size and weight. When you're going fast the car somehow feels smaller than what it should.

Shame most of these cars are bought by fags anyway
