What drives people to maliciously block EV charging spots?

Not pic-related, but when I traveled to Italy for a business trip last month, I rented an EV and was shocked by how common this is.

What drives people to put stupid EV chargers behind parking spots that normal people could otherwise use?

I was shocked by how common this is.

antisocial types are buttmad that people can travel around for pennies on the dollar compared to what they are paying, and they feel threatened by EVs because gasoline is somehow an integral part of their personality

because you need to park the car to charge it?
it's not going to disappear if you move it somewhere else? you will just take up parking space there instead?
fairly baffling post desu

Go put your chargers at the fuel station where they belong
You don't see people putting gas pumps behind parking spots at the mall just in case someone needs fuel

next you’ll tell disabled people to stay at home so they don’t use the one or two spots dedicated for them

The genuinely disabled should be able to use their parking spaces, along with mobility assistance devices. But they should only be for the frail, not the whale

if there was space for that at the fuel station it would already be a parking lot anyways, or used for something else

This is what I want to know. There were a few spots at a place I used to work that were EV only, and of for spaces there was 1 guy in packaging who dailied an EV just to be obnoxious, 1 IT something that showed up about twice a month and 2-3 empty spots every day. Meanwhile like two dozen of us would end up parking in the back lot and walking around. Not a huge deal but annoying, especially when the wind chill is ten below.

>rent EV
>anons get mad
1. I wanted to know what it’s like to drive one because I only owned petrol cars.
2. I thought there was a restriction on what cars enter the city due to emission laws, so I went with an EV to be safe. Turns out all the cars at the rental agency is approved for inner city entry anyway, but that’s just something to remember for next time.

yeah, because not everyone who lands in the city will stay in it, retard.
the electric and plug-in hybrids are allowed in all zones, economy cars are allowed on the outer and outskirt zones on weekdays (I think), and it gets iffy with cars with more powerful engines because some can enter the outer zone and some can’t.

Seriously? I was aware of the draconian bullshit but not on this level. Imagine not being able to drive a car in a fucking city, holy shit. How do you guys deal with the browns without having a rolling bit of private property to get around in that's a felony to breach or steal?

You didn't research the type of vehicle you could drive in cuckland before going to cuckland?
A simple phone call to the rental agency would have saved you the humiliation of renting an ev if you were unsure.

I saw multiple notices by google and the hotel I stayed in about these emission laws, they didn’t specify said laws didn’t apply on weekdays for the 4-cyl hatchbacks I usually rent when on business trips.
Besides, I saw it as an excuse to try out an EV. It wasn’t as special as I thought it’d be, though
