I have a Z and it's fucking great. 6 Speed Manual and I get all the teenage boys looking at me. I've had lots of boomers tell me it looks like the old Z they used to have as a kid. People crane their necks to look at my drive by. I feel like a celebrity.

Even car reviews on youtube, i get that they want to show the car's details, but often times they just never show it at a normal viewing angle, like how youd see it in real life. Instead they zoom in to the headlights or give some low angle perspective

I finally saw one in the wild for the first time yesterday. I had to squint to see what it was because I was almost certain it was a Fiat 124 from a distance.

It has never left the concept stage.

I like how they went retro with it mix of 70s and 90s
I'll think about in a few years to see how cheap they get, would love a c8 for my next car but these Zs are already getting cheap, a nismo will probably be in the low 30s in a few years

Owner here. I've only seen 4 others in the last 3 years. I see more C7 + C8 corvettes on my commute to work. I also regularly see McClarens, Ferraris and an endless supply of those 4 door Porsche electric cars during that daily commute. On weekends I'm seeing classic cars and a lot of Lotus Elise/Exige on the roads. If the weather is good I'm seeing garage kit cars (cobras etc...) and old american muscle. And most of the people driving those cool cars will glance over at me and it makes me feel cool.

Saw some child leaning his entire body out of the back window of his parent's (or abductor's) SUV and craning his neck backwards to look at my car.

Nissan designs always look amateurish.
Z is a blob, GTR is a slab. 0 artfulness to either.

Nissan made the same critical error that Kia did with the stinger, trusting dealerships that for decades were only used to selling to the ultra poors. When the Z hit lots, they became immediate halo cars that dealers treated like Ferraris. The sports car buyer went into see the car and was immediately treated like a common Tyrone and was given a price tag that rivaled BMW's and AMG's while having less performance and luxury. They then noped the fuck out and went straight to the Germans, or if they really wanted JDM straight to Toyota.

I really was interested in this car but for how much they charge, the interior design, materials, and lack of creature comforts makes it all feel very lacking.
Not to mention it makes you question the build quality when they fuck up something so glaring like this.

The Nismo body now flares outward downward like bell bottom jeans. The rear diffuser is now even more plastic and less paint, more retarded fake body lines that don't flow. Duck bill is now extended and chopped off into 3 pieces and ends abruptly at the end corners. This car looks worse.

Daily reminder that the GR Supra Manual does NOT have an external trunk release button.

It's also a little strange sitting in an obvious BMW interior that says Toyota. This isn't an issue for people that have never sat in a BMW but I found it very strange.

About as convenient as the VW push-start where you insert the key fob and push it in to engage the starter. It's fucking 2025, give me a little button on the trunk and the door handles so I can open it without fishing for my key.

I didn't notice this, but does the Supra use physical push buttons on the door handles or is it the 'touch technology' where you swipe your hand across it like on other Toyotas? I prefer a little button.
