Two things you don't nigger rig on a car:
1. Brakes
2. Steering
Nigger rig anything else to your heart's content, but not those. You stupid stancefag.
Its not really nigger rigged but I do know what you mean. All of the kits that you can buy are the same thing pretty much. Its a anodized aluminum spacer 10-30mm that sits in between the arm and ball joint. My spacers would be forged steel made from ball joints. Give me some technical bullshit as to why it wont work.
>>28600120 (OP) >>28600139
This is what Im basing my design off of. Id be willing to get 2 plates/spacers cnc'd if it were proven to be better and or more safe than what ive come up with
>>28600120 (OP)
Moving your ball joints changes the roll centers and will make bump steer worse anon.
Bump steer can be fixed by moving the outer toe rods, or lowering the rack and pinion.
The tie rod length changes bump as well, but you have less control over that due to alignment specs.
>>28600527
Ive found that the spacer wont work. I need an extended ball joint or a ball joint extender. preferably the extended ball joint and maybe I can get lucky by flipping the tie rods like in the old VW's.
>>28600583
Yeah exactly. I will need to adjust both if possible. I should have actually named the thread How to adjust roll center or some shit like that
My next idea is to figure out which cars have a kit with 45mm press in ball joints. and the same size shaft. None of the correction kits list sizes. Can you rebuild a ball joint? Replacing the shaft with a longer one would save alot of headache.

lmao retard
Your roll centre is a straight line between the two pivot points of your LCA - the actual shape of the LCA doesn't matter two fucks.
>>28600702
Ya that's the easiest way.
Doesn't get bumpsteer perfect, but close enough.
You really need to lower or raise the rack and pinion to get it all perfect.
But OEM cars have no provisions for that usually.
Easy on a Stock Car, not on a production car
>>28600837
I dont think the rack can shimmed or moved without major custom work. It doesnt even really bump steer that bad to where its un drivable or unsafe. I just want it to be as proper as possible .
>>28600855
They say that ass worms can control your emotions anon. You should really get that taken care of . Id be embarrassed to post on the internet like a woman would.
>>28600900
See how there's lines which go through the control arms retard-kun?
Those lines are between the two pivot points, the shape of the metal which joins those two pivot points is irrelevant.
>>28600940
Your picture was of a single straight and one worm like bar.
No front suspension component is like that
My comment stands.
The only retarded one here is you pretending.
>>28600992
That's the point retardkun - even a crazy worm LCA that does a loop-de-loop has EXACTLY THE SAME roll centre line as a straight one because the pivots are in the exact same place.
OP wants to turn his control arm into a funny shaped control arm, but the pivots will remain the same.
>>28601629
Sorry to destroy your anus like that retard-kun, but there's still time to delete your thread so more people don't see how retarded you are.
>>28601544 >actually changed the position of the ball joint in relation to the tyre
Nah this won't work m8, the only thing that matters is how sloped the metal is on your control arm.
Found that evo 7 ball joints are the same size as my car. The front control arm bushings are also the same. I think now my only option would be a heim joint for a tie rod but would have to drill the knuckle out from 10 mm to like 5/8. I dont now if there is enough meat on the knuckle to be safe that way.
>>28604343
Did you have to drill the knuckle for your heims? My tie rod has something like a 10mm shaft with a larger taper at the bottom. All of the heim kits/ sizes ive seen require drilling the knuckle to 5/8 to accept the bolt. I honestly doubt any of these "roll center kits" bring the roll center back to factory. its probably close but not exact.

No modifications to existing components, complete bolt-on kit.
This particular vehicle in my collection has one of the most prolific levels of aftermarket support in automotive history.

Nice,I should just buy a honda instead of pulling old hotrod tricks mix matching parts. Its pointless to do the ball joints without being able to move the tie rods. Most cars are start at 12 mm shaft tie rods and the only 10 mm that I can find are for quads and polaris 4x4 off road carts. I dont trust those.
