My car produces more torque than a base Tesla at idle, and has more peak horsepower (and higher non-limited top speed) than everything but the Plaid.
It also cost me $17k as opposed to $110k+ for the Tesla.
EV acceleration figures are way overblown, especially if the real car has launch control (automatic or otherwise)

Model 3 and Y are slow as hell once they get going.
It's only the 0-60 that's fast.
Once the traction advantage is gone, they slow down a lot
Then become super slow above 100mph.
It's only the model S plaid that doesn't have those disadvantages.
