nah, the Viper existed in the same era and was the polar opposite. analogue, lightweight,(somehow weighed less than the LFA despite no use of carbon fiber), and a traditional 6 speed. all toyota had to do was buy a Carrera GT, take it apart, and make a copy. but they only copied the engine note, and seemingly didn't know what to do with the rest of the car.
