Am I a cuck if I donโt do my own auto repairs?

Depends. If you have the time I say possibly, you're saving a lot of money doing repairs and maintenance yourself.
If you do not, then no. You're already cucked by not having the time.

No. People here who are overly concerned with "car culture" are cuckolds. Literally begging for used goods or pining after a used object everyone has already used and damaged
Or making payments for the privelage of owning a deprecated model past its expiration date. And the only way thats not true is if your car is your property, not an extension of your personality, and you are free to do whateverthefuck you want with it and manage it how you want.

In my opinion, it depends. If you're busy and paying someone to do it frees you up for a more lucrative opportunity, then do that if money is what matters to you. For me, it's the satisfaction of a job well done and the clout of being able to say to others, "hey see that cool shit? I did that". I also have extreme trust issues so the money and time aspect is irrelevant to me. In short, do what makes sense for you and disregard others opinions.

No people just like bragging about being able to do something. They can work on their car themselves and that makes them feel special but they ignore the 1000 other things that they choose to not do themselves and instead pay someone else to do. The guy calling you a cuck for not fixing your own car sees nothing wrong with the clothes on his back being made by someone else, his food being grown and transported by someone else, living in a house made by someone else, buying all manner of things made by someone else, going to a barber, going to a doctor, going to the vet, etc. and he doesn't even know the definition of "cognitive dissonance"

Not really. In fact I can't think of anything more Chad than having a long detailed phone conversation with a shop technician you know is honest from the outset.

The only shit a grown ass man should be letting other men do is alignments and tires. These only get a pass since they require really large equipment and under no circumstances should another man be performing these services unsupervised. It's already humiliating enough.

No. Wrenching is for poors and people who enjoy it as a hobby. Those are the only two categories.
If you're concerned about the money, you're poor. If you just like wrenching on projects, enjoy yourself, no different than any other hobby.

Depends on your time and the difficulty of the job. I don't have a lift at my place and my car is low, so I can only do stuff that is under the hood and leave the rest to a shop.
It's odd seeing the replies in here considering I have seen this same question asked on /o/ over the years, and only a decade ago everyone would be saying you're a cuck if you don't do all the maintenance on your car.

I guess shit has changed a lot over the years. Maybe all the wrenchers now have jobs and realize there isn't time for wrenching as often (self included to a point, I don't detail my car every weekend like I did when I was a part timer on shit wages).

It depends, I do a most of my own wrenching, but that was my job for several years. If you're less experienced, you'd probably be more likely to break stuff than fix it. In which case I'd take it to a reasonably priced mechanic. This also only applies if you drive something cool/interesting. If you're driving a crossover or SUV then you're a cuck by default. Especially if someone else works on it

you can do alignments with string but it's quite annoying. still useful if say you had to tear down the entire front suspension or whatever and now just put it back, at least that's enough to get you to a place that has the pro equipment.

Alignments also cost basically nothing and they have some really good equipment at tire shops. I only pay about $15 for the place near me to do it.

The difference is besides the house, car repairs are far more expensive than everything else. Iโd save like $20 cutting my own hair whereas I regularly save hundreds doing my own repairs and maintenance.

depends on the repair. I wouldn't expect the average person to do something more complicated than an oil change desu.
but if you have something like a stuck brake light and end up paying a shop $200 just to replace the pedal switch then yeah you're a cuck.

why would you pay after using string? 1mm is something like .1 of a degree. set all wheels to zero and then toe in or out. I guess it would really depend on the car and how much you can adjust. im talking about most modern crap that only has toe setting.
