Ran the red light again
>See orange light
>Brake a little bit
>I think it's too short of a distance to stop without someone ramming into me
>Start accelerating
>Light turns red

It happens. Learn from it and move on.
I once was behind a semi in a miata and couldn't see the light at all, by the time I got to the intersection is was already red, the semi must've run yellow. Felt bad for a second, then I moved on with my life.

Here we have the typical example of the guy on the internet who constantly talks about "the drivers are crazy where i live" and "everyone sucks at driving these days" etc etc., and ends up breaking the law himself, ironically in fear of those trash drivers who exist around him.

Last time that happened to me there was a cop right next to the light. I braked so hard that I melted the rear pad to the rotor. Stopped right on the line.Cop car was empty at a shop getting serviced.

you’re probably speeding by a significant amount. yellow lights are timed to give you plenty of room to break from a safe speed.

There's a 1-2 second window from the time your light turns red before any other lights turn green. Doing this is safer than slamming the brakes and risking a rear-end collision or loss of control.

This. If you pass the lights just as it turns red, your chances of collision are minimal. There's a built in buffer precisely for situations like this.

Was told by a police officer that if you made the attempt to stop at least, they wouldn’t pull you over

Anon, the light between green and red is yellow or amber – not orange.

Last night I *almost* ran a red light.. I was spaced out relaxing with the windows down because the weather was perfect and basically slammed on my breaks and stopped at the light. It made a chirping sound, I was very embarrassed.

>out at 5am
>pull to an intersection
>nobody in sight exept this crackhead in a dodge charger behind me
>never ending redlight
>just go after sitting for nearly 2 minutes
>get 40 yards past the intersection
>the crackhead in the dodge was infact an undercover car
>pulls me over and throws a big bitch fit about rolling a red in MUH town
