Judging by the design, the lfr/grgt3 is coming very soon. Also looks like the spindle is now just a maw that consumes

Starting to look more like a Toyota. Not necessarily a bad thing, given Lexus's recent grilleslop.
Still one of those faces that are frankly improved by slapping on a front license plate.

Thank god they didn’t ruin it like they did with the ES, this one actually looks fairly decent. I do hope they updated the interior and give the 350 a power bump so it can actually compete with everyone else. Also if they keep the is500 then Lexus is official the goat

This cuckbox Lexus IS just got its third facelift AGAIN! PLUS the price went up AGAIN! How are we supposed to feel about the 2026 changes? Now it just looks like a Corolla. Great.

I like that mentality, but using the same 6 speed automatic transmission for 20 years is a bit much.
At some point you have to modernize.

Hard to do with a 6 speed automatic and a old V6.

Lexus doesn't have a proper design language anymore. The new front end is similar TX/RX and are in transitional phases while ES is the new ugly design direction. Rear extreme duckbilled spoiler plus uninspired Lexus lettering is a joke.

They finally got new interior, all the people whined how old Interior is outdated. But does this look superior ? Not even close. The machined Aluminium knobs are gone along with Analog clock, CD Player, Aux port and LFA inspired Tach as well with a new mundane digital display and uninspired ambient lighting and useless wireless charging pad.

2021 IS is the peak design. Also funny how F-Sport is alive but there's no proper F car. Only good thing is 2GR-FKS is still alive with the old 6 Speed Unit and the RWD with 8 spd unit.

Finally, they upgraded the engine bay with new rigidity steel so the bumper sag might be fixed for this IS gen.

Lexus design is a nose dive. They do not design with hand and clay art anymore is my guess.

2UR-GSE is dead. Long live the king. With the V8 alive only in LC 500. Lexus has 1 more year of life left.
Anonymous No.28615604 [Report]
I'm surprised so many people like this facelift, I think the previous facia was the best since the 2nd gen IS. Now it looks like a Corolla XSE.

The interior, however, looks barely better. The IS was in DESPERATE need of an interior update. It's been virtually unchanged since like 2014.

>RWD

That's good.

>Base model
>Inline 4
>240 horsepower, 258 lb/ft torque
>25 MPG

That's not very impressive.

>Sport model
>V6
>311 horsepower, 280 lb/ft torque
>22 mpg

Not particularly impressive either.

I wish they'd get rid of the giant big mouth grills. It might look decent if it wasn't gasping like a youtuber reacting to a movie trailer.

Honestly, I'm underwhelmed. I can think of much better ways to spend $47,000. I'm glad they're still making a RWD sedan; but those performance and MPG numbers are not impressive.

That's what I got off Toyota's website. I expected better either on MPG or on power. Like a Toyota Sienna hybrid has like 245 horsepower (combined from the engine and the electric motor) and gets 36 MPG. How is a Lexus sedan getting the same horsepower and 11 less MPG than a Toyota minivan?

It looks very clean, Lexus design has been some of my favorite in the modern era. Especially compared to what BMW and Mercedes have been doing.

This design language applied to the GR GT3/LFR is going to be very compelling, and it will be very interesting to see where that comes in from a price and packaging perspective.
