I didn't feel like renting a car, so I just rode the 5 consecutive hairpins at Haruna in a taxi on the way up and a bus on the way down
They did have Keiichi Tsuchiya and some drifters burning some rubber on the track earlier, but I only have video clips... no pics

this stage was on a paddock, but of course the racetrack itself had seats and other places to sit for watching the cars
I had a ticket for both days, but I am glad I only came today because it apparently poured rain yesterday

they had a concert-wide rock-paper-scissors tournament where winners got to take home some cool stuff from the event, like custom flags, art, signs.

I came from Tokyo, leaving my hotel at like 8 am, and didn't make it to the event until like 1pm... I underestimated the ability of people getting themselves hurt on the train tracks and delaying lines or traffic slowing the express buses to a crawl
So I only have pics from this afternoon and evening. I didn't have time to walk through the parking lots and get pics of cars
I got to watch a tiny bit of drifting and I got to do the concert.
I also bought a t-shirt and hand towel

guess which one is Tsuchiya... you may need to recognize him by the color of his fire suit alone

Here is from the toy, doll, and car museum in Ikaho. This is what was saved of the original storefront before they tore down the building

oh, I snapped this at the Subaru tent as I was leaving the event and most was already packed away. I can only guess that it is a Super GT or similar class race car

The pro drivers borrowed these particular replica cars for some drift "battles" earlier in the afternoon, but my pics here are from the parade at the end, where the cars were driven by their respective owners and had whichever friends or anybody they wanted in the car with them (if they weren't lonely drivers)
