My shitbox Prius is sitting at 160k miles and most likely has a head gasket issue that will cost more than the car is worth to repair. I'm looking for a new car now and - for whatever reason - have my heart set on picrel. I've always liked them. Is it retarded to buy one as a daily? Is their reliability as shit as most people claim? My budget is 16k.

the one good thing about it is you get the v6 challenger/ram engine with a manual transmission

Is it really that easy? You don't have to like, clean and/or resurface the head to get it to seal with a new gasket?

Did it overheat? If it's just mixing coolant/oil but you caught it early it should be an easy fix.

You can go on youtube right now and find a step by step video over exactly what is needed to do, what parts and tools you need, and how much time and money you're going to need to commit.
You can spend 20 minutes of your life to see what's involved and tell yourself "I will do this" or "I am not going to do this".
Also Jeep Wranglers were amazing until Chrysler got involved. Now they are not amazing anymore.
