What is the anti-electronics slop car?
>EV shit
>push to start
>power windows
>surround sound systems
>aux batteries
>hybrid systems
>phone app unlock
>24/7 wifi/gps tracking
>power this
>power that
>electric seats with heat
>digital screens
Just more cheap chinese/indian electronics crap that breaks down, digital shit that makes life worse, and data mining crap.

Are there any real cars left on the market /o/?
Analog, no wifi necessary, no system updates, no tracking BS, no phone apps, cucked fob keys but REAL keys you push in and turn like a real man, few to no distractions from driving, etcetcetc

You fucks are the same contrarians on /g/ that refuse to use smartphones because muh intrusive technology.

Just get any car from 2010-2017 and you should be fine. But you're a moron for atleast not wanting Bluetooth and basic electronics adaptive speed control

Bluetooth if a meme and if you can't control your own speed, maybe you shouldn't be driving.

t. Drive a low mileage, petrol engine from 2004 and the only electronic equipment are the windows, abs and power steering.

All those electronics also add weight thus contribute to worse fuel economy. This is why your car can't come with a spare

Nope. Smart phones should be smart because they are useful that way.
But you don't need a smart dish washer, a dryer that connects to the internet to sell out your info, or wifi updates for your microwave. It's fucking retarded. Just like you.

Getting an aftermarket head unit that supports these things is trivial; and honestly prefered. Factory stereos age like milk.
I’m driving a 2010 with wireless car play, and none of the stupid nanny features that would accompany a car with a similar level of built in connectivity

Build a fucking kit car then you lobotomite.
Or buy a junker and wrench it yourself.
But I know for a fact you won't ever do anything about it.

Actually power windows are lighter than manual, surprisingly.

In the third world? Sure. You can buy a brand new Nissan Junior in certain countries in the Middle East, Caucasus and Africa. Not to mention the 70 series LC and the Chevy Damas/Labo, plus the number of repackaged Ford Festivas.

Lada still makes the Niva and UAZ still has the forbidden bread loaf too, plus some models of Mahindra are fairly mechanical, but both of these makes are not the best (with Mahindra probably being the better one tbdesu).

If you live in the US, look at vans.

Oh yeah, kit cars are always an option and they are not that hard to put together, really.

Lastly, if you are EV curious (which I know that you are not), but NEVs are fine for local roadways and are closer to European quadricycles. Unfortunately, there are no real ICE allowances.

Speaking of EU, Ligier models as late as 2023 do not have the iPad, so it should be easy to find one (especially since they are cheap cars to begin with).

Base model versa, 5mt.
>With manual crank windows as late as TWO THOUSAND TWENTY
This boomer I met at a car show bought his daughter one of those, used, CVT. He didn't realize it had the crank windows until they went to pick it up, probably why it was so cheap for the mileage/condition.

I just fill a Nalgene type water bottle with piping hot tap water and keep it in-between my legs to warm me up on winter mornings. Keep your hands on it for a little bit before touching the steering wheel and repeat. Eventually the warmth creeps into the steering wheel and within a minute it's warm enough.

This just shows you don't know shit. Cars have been getting less reliable and more electronically dependant since the 2000s. The real sweet spot is somewhere between the late 90s and early 00s. Here you have all the technology you could need, no excess and still reasonably fixable. Since safety and emissions regulations started getting stricter, cars have only become more soulless and less reliable.

You can buy aftermarket heated steering wheel covers and heated seat covers, heated mirrors and wipers too but they require more installation.

If there is a more upscale trim or a more expensive version of your car with wood in the steering wheel rim, buy it and replace yours. Wood doesn't feel cold in winter.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Who needs that? I just want a car with no bullshit like we used to have. When I get on my bicycle, I don't need 21312 different gimmicks on it. I just need a car with lights, AC, shifter, and gauges and that's all, maybe a radio as well.

No, he has a point. You're turning a circuit on momentarily, what does matter what sort of switch does it?

>You're turning a circuit on momentarily
What the fuck does that even mean?
>No, he has a point.
He's a retard, busrider maybe, or even a bot.
A key has several positions you can clearly see, feel without seeing and switch between them back and forth. A button does not, you have to press it multiple times to get what you want, sometimes with modifiers (brake pedal or else in some cars), and watch the reaction (different for different cars). That's the most obvious difference. There is also the issue of proximity start system with a wide range of problems coming with it.

You're closing the circuit to provide power from the battery to the starter motor.
As long as it's more civilized than touching wires together by hand, and the locks are managed otherwise it ultimately makes little difference what type of switch is used
