while the lifter bearing fault is absolutely true and also hurt the pentastar it is ALSO true that the v8 has low idle oil pressure and does not take to being idled well at all. i was literally told so by a senior georgia police officer when he pulled me over at random to search my car for drugs (a common occurrence for a challenger owner). the officer said no matter what oil they use the cams get wiped super fast and the chargers are constantly in the shop, but their performance is worth the expense as they're faster than the fords.

my car has upper intake swap from a durango and the hellcat intake box, the induction noise is so loud i often asked by retards what kind of turbo is in it because you can hear the throttle body chuffing away when you rev it and lift. and then at high rpm it's just absolutely sexual: a deep, echoing sonorous scream like an indy car, not the raspy coughing of a vq.

the 2015+ v6 challenger is exclusively equipped with the ZF8 which just makes a manny look like a joke. the gearbox is hilariously overkill for what i agree is a rather pedestrian sports car that would have been fine with a clutch pedal. but the first time you pull 2nd and 3rd at redline and listen to that minivan engine spit fire and scream like a gt3 roaring up radillon at spa you will never want to drive another manny tranny again. absolute god machine.
