Is this the ultimate dad car?
>good power
>Honda reliability
>5 doors and usable backseats
>manual shifter
>very fun to corner, despite being fwd

Price is a bit high though but on the other hand for 50k there is no better alternative imo. What do you think of it?

Not a big deal, lots of cars are out of production. The Commodore uses a really common drive train and they sold heaps of them so parts are plentiful
>limited market
Not sure why this matters if you want one
>Rare
Definitely less wagons than sedans but they're easy to get.
>Cost
Definitely costs more than buying a cheaper model and modding it.

I don't know about that - I don't see anything about it that makes it worth it other than seeming more like an adult.

>>28658320
0-60 times and oversteer stupidity ARE parts of a sports car, as someone who got the CTR.

>>28658510
Hear reliability is shit. Looks pretty bad in comparison. Overall, it was an option if you need 4 seats, which I don't.

>>28658550
It would be fine, but it's not the same in terms of all other aspects either.

I think the consensus that I am gravitating toward is that the CTR is pretty expensive for what it is, and at the end of the day it's compromise if you want some hp, are ok with paying $500 for front pads, but don't want to pay more.

C7 is the only car today that beats the Supra. There is one key component to dad cars though - not having to spend days under them, which a beat-to-shit C7 won't qualify for. And then there is the whole "have to get the Z06" aspect, because let's be honest, at that point you want to be the undisputed king and not have supras, Mustang GTs, other Corvettes, M2s/M3s, 718s, etc step to you.

Toyota developed the GR Yaris as a homologation car for a WRC rulebook that didn't eventuate. Because the normal Yaris isn't sold in the US, federalizing the low-volume GR Yaris would not have been worthwhile for Toyota, so they decided to do the easy thing and create a GR variant of the Corolla instead, using the same guts.

Its like 250whp, its 2025 horsepower.

Personally I bought a VA STi for $16k because its half the price of everything else on the market even if the engine blows up and it still feels very nice to drive from how mechanical it is.

IRL its hard to miss a Civic with a big black carbon fiber wing and wide arches. The Corolla is only visible from the widebody.

In burgerland the only difference between the two engines is about 1.2mm of engine bore size. A 6.0 could easily take 6.2 pistons on a rebuild but everything for a 6.2 is wildly expensive, while you could turn any 6.0 into an ls2 for about $500. I'll never understand it.

Any station wagon. Haul the Young'Uns around without looking like a fat cheerleader, like you would in any SUV/Cockover. The Ford Country Squire would have been the choice back in my day but, tragically, they stopped making it around the time you stopped being allowed to smoke in restaurants. Gonna have to prowl the second hand car listings if you want a good wagon these days. Any full-sized sedan works, too.
