The majority of men have always seen shopping and picking shit out as a hassle that they don't want to deal with. How many dudes do you see out there as the primary purchasers of kitchen appliances, clothes and toys for their children, home decorations, etc? It's not like they don't have the option to be the main buyer of household items, they just don't give a shit. As long as they get home and there's food and everything works and they don't run out of toilet paper they couldn't care less. There are dudes out there who will purposefully bitch and moan about picking up groceries if their wife or girlfriend doesn't give them an exact list of every single fucking item to pick up and exactly what aisle and shelf everything is in on top of that. There are dudes out there who get married and never buy a single fucking piece of clothing for themselves past that point. There are dudes out there who will go to their job and come home and sit in a fucking pig sty unless their wife buys a vacuum cleaner and a new bottle of cleaner every month.
Men do not give a single shit about shopping and never have. You can't be like "omg society is gonna collapse because women be shopping!!" when the very thought of going to a department store gives you a fucking conniption. Who the fuck else in the household is going to do the purchasing then? Your kids?
