Proofs? The cheapest Performance trim I could find was $40.3k sticker (so not including sales tax or fees) and had already been in an accident
The only ones nationwide that even go a tiny bit below $40k STICKER are lemons, salvage titles, or sport trim (trash)

you better VIN confirm that's a performance. the dealer could've listed it wrong. 40 is a fair deal for the base model. no way they're letting a performance go for that.
