Car Television Shows
Are car TV shows still a thing after the death of Top Gear?

The Grand Tour was good; because it was basically just more Top Gear. With Grand Tour gone, who knows. Amazon is trying to reboot The Grand Tour; but Clarkson, Hammond and May are a hard act to follow.

Motortrend TV is still running; but they aren't really making new shows anymore and are just running reruns. Really the best car show content these days is on Youtube.

Car culture is on life-support. I think it's over and not coming back. Very few can afford "fun" cars. Shit is only going to get more regulated until the government ends private vehicle operation entirely.

Not really no, but some youtube channels have filled that car content niche for me.

Here's what is filling my Top Gear void... On YouTube

Top Dead Centre
Very British, dry understated humour, lots of action without being frantic or irritating
Has a secondary channel Two Dead Centre for their personal cars

Gears and Gasoline
Excellent production from such a small team. They do excellent builds, and even better road trips. They also have the best track oriented content

Donut Media
Yes, unironically. They have been doing excellent build series, and recently have been pivoting to more legacy style special road trips and one off challenge episodes.
It still has very American and zoomer humour, but I'm a cynical old goat that's tough to please and I enjoy it

Mighty Car Mods
Their series are hit and miss and I reckon the hosts hate each other by now - but everything they put out is worth checking out

Couple of honourable mentions for smaller channels just finding their feet
Wheelem verb - great quality, but doesn't post much

Agatas katkus - interesting and unique builds, nothing outrageous just easy viewing and wraps up his projects quickly. This channel will hopefully explode soon

Tyler Thrower - still finding his feet, but great prospects if he does

Kiwicarlife - does some cool little flips on a budget

Television in general is on its way out, streaming is generally too expensive and niche to justify for streaming platforms, that leaves Youtube. There's a lot of good long form content in a similar vein there, too

crazy how television is only failing because of extreme incompitence and greed but somehow these shits are not learning their lesson with streaming.
I want everyone itt who doesn't already know
you can look up whatever you want to watch on browsers like yandex and you will find sites hosting shows and movies but if you search it on google they hide those websites to direct you to subscription based streaming services.
they're literally hiding the shit from you.

YouTube sucks though because 99% is garbage, whereas TV it was only about 90%. Plus there's more ads, e-begging, sponsor blocks and the majority of the big content creators are soulless bugmen like Mr Beast. At least I didn't know the pedos that ran TV by sight (most of them at least) now I have to look them in their dead eyes and pretend I see a soul.

Evenflow is the only car channel on youtube (or any media) you will ever need

I don't think car culture will ever die out completely, it'll just become a small niche thing since even most used cars are expensive as fuck now.
