it really isnt, people are never going fast enough, always need to overtake, some people are were they arent supposed to be (slow movers on the left lane, people monopolising the middle lane, etc)
If I see someone coming up over the speed limit on the left lane I WILL switch to the left lane and I WILL drive at the speed limit and not an inch per hour more.

When merging you're supposed to match the speed of traffic, expected or otherwise, by the time you reach the lane merge point.
This means reaching at LEAST 15 miles per hour below the posted speed limit at the end of a 1/4 mile, 5% slope onramp.
You should NOT be doing 55mph in the merge lane of a 75MPH highway. I don't care if you have the world's oldest 1.6 liter, 85hp inline 4 corolla.
Doing such is a danger to everyone and a danger to yourself.
PUT YOUR FUCKING FOOT DOWN TO MERGE WITH TRAFFIC.
