There was a case a few years ago where an SUV driver making a left turn didn't see that there was someone in the crosswalk on the street that they were turning into. They ran the person over, kept going, and didn't even realize that they had hit someone until police tracked them down later using eyewitnesses and the plate info.

Trucks of this height are also a hazard to other drivers in lower cars. I was attempting to make a left turn at a T-intersection where the cross-traffic didn't stop when a truck rolled into the right turn lane next to me, preventing me from seeing any traffic to the right. I had to hold up traffic in my lane until they turned in order to turn safely.

The bus driver can see a child 5 feet in front of their bumper, a trugg driver can't see one 50 feet in front of his bumper. Commercial vehicles are actually required for the seating position and hood to be designed so the driver can see someone in front of it and before bloat maxing, you could see someone right in front of you in a pickup.

Yeah I watched that video just yesterday and I do own a 1994 D21, I do like the smaller 90's style truck, but the problem there wasn't so much the truck as it was the fucking midget driving it, I paid particular notice that they put the sub-5' dwarf in the drivers seat and the 6'5" man outside of it because their narrative wouldn't have sold otherwise.
I've got lots of problems with big trucks that are outlined in that video, just being a marketing decision to avoid emissions restrictions (which my D21 predates and doesn't comply to) but those big trucks shouldn't be illegal by any means and you should quit yer bitchin'
