The last time i had a cassette player in my truck was 6 years ago and i used to dub 33s, 45s, cassettes and even cds onto cassettes on my home stereo and listen to them in the truck. I even used to plug in a microphone and act like a dj on the radio between songs. Made for good road trips.

Can you find anything on how the dimming is controlled? If it uses a continuous voltage you can rig up a manual dimming knob, hook it up to the dash dimmer dial (if you have that), or even cobble something together using a photoresistor and some other components so it dims automatically depending on the in-cabin light level.

Anybody got any good suggestions for a radio and some speakers on a GMT400? Would prefer to have a volume knob and Android Auto/Apple Carplay.
