I really don't like the 300c it reminds me of my failure. I took an apprentice under my wing at work and under my watch he purchased a twin turbo 2jz aristo, then he built one of the most powerful soarers in the southern hemisphere. After he moved away and we didn't work together anymore he bought a v6 chrysler 300.
That hurt. I think I understand parents who try to raise their kids right but one of them turns into a faggot.

What is this meme trying to convey in this context? something about reliability? Is chryslers were reliable maybe they wouldn't have gone bankrupt multiple times.
>>28675952
I can't do that chief. Fans of car makers that have gone bankrupt multiple times and only survive on taxpayer funded bailouts should always be bullied.
Always.
>>28675900 >>28675944 >>28675954
also technically "300C" only applies to the hemi model, the V6 is just "300"
back in the day the 300s were named in alphabetical order depending on their generation. There was a 300B and a 300D, all the way up to 300M.
the LX body 300 is actually supposed to be the 300N but there are socioeconomic reasons we cannot have that nameplate.
>>28675956
maybe if you diverted your energies from low-quality unfunny shitposting towards high quality thought provoking posts maybe we could be friends but I'm not holding my breath.
>>28675994
C'mon nobody gives a shit about the modern chrysler 300 except niggers and you're here carrying water for presumably older models even less people care about. Chrysler is dead man. move on.
>>28675885 (OP)
I swear to god my boomer dad goes to get it serviced every other week. Doesn't help the handles get ripped off and he ran over them once, so now he is looking all over Poland to try and find replacement parts.
>designed specifically to outperform the VQ because Cerberus was about to cancel the Phoenix program and buy Nissan engines instead >allowed Chrysler to pay off its bailout within a few years of leaving receivership >one of the most ubiquitous engines in the world, found in production cars on every continent >speed density, port injected, no egr, no cylinder deactivation, fuck the epa >runs literally forever as long as you keep oil in it >only disliked by women and browns who fail the average mopar owner basic maintenance challenge
>>28676036
that is true, but it's merely a technicality. in the US it's 300 for the base, 300C for the hemmay, or 300S which is the equivalent of a Scat Pack/Super Track Pack depending on the engine it's equipped with.
>>28676047 >only disliked by women and browns
it's a fucking v6 anon. Are you really going to bat for a fucking v6.
Only women and brown people like the v6. Engineers fucking hate the v6. They're not allowed to have a v8 so they have to work on this fucking gay v6. Being assigned to the v6 department must be like being sent to hell for an engineer. You don't get to work on the cool v8's or the high tech inline 4s you have to work on this stupid pile of shit that only women and brown people want
blind blanket statement-making brand whoring wrenchlette retards like yourself do not deserve to be spoken to with any seriousness.
grow up, read a book, take care of your car.
>>28676138
I don't care enough to try to unravel this weird combination of people defending shit engines, snowflake retards thinking they're too special to use the quote system and people quoting geocities-style shit from 1997 I'm out. Wow. Chrysler fans lol
>>28676062
This anon purchased a V6 challenger and definitely doesn't regret it, so they come on here every day to cope about how the Pentastar is actually the greatest engine ever made and he totally didn't buy the wrong car.
>the registered child molester who bought a base model 911 that spams the board with 9999 cope threads and seethes at corvette owners, mopar owners and bmw owners every day is a perfectly fine and well-adjusted person but god forbid someone mention a pentastar occasionally
>>28676182
i just came back from a global ban for shitting on pajeets on /v/ so any pentashilling you witnessed this week was just another satisfied mopar v6 chad
meanwhile the base model 911 guy made like 10 identical threads in that time, must be a slow week at the nursing home huh
>>28676238
if it was truly shit you wouldn't feel the need to cry about it every time it's mentioned, just like on /v/ the more that fags like yourself baselessly hate on something the better it actually is
the pentastar is the greatest engine ever constructed by man and no amount of germoid rental eurocope will ever change that. enjoy your mcdonalds strutted vw beetle, pal.
>>28676261
/o/ really is a magical place I haven't posted here in months and some retarded schizo who likes shit engines thinks I'm his arch nemesis or something
>>28676284
Accusing people of being someone else you apparently argue with on a regular basis is bus-stop homeless crack-head tier but ok you do you anon.
>>28676333
I just said 6.4 because it’s faster stock. But yeah nothing wrong with the 5.7. Wide availability of parts and people who know how to work on them.
>>28676333 >>28676344
I love this bizarro world of chrysler fans where this shit is normal. Yeah bro it has problems but they're known and manageable, you just need people who know how to work on them.
>>28676347
There are plenty of excellent engines with a debilitating flaw that needs fixed first. LS7 comes to mind. Whatever BMW engine that eats rod bearings every 100k.
>>28676347
Are you retarded? Every single engine in existence has problems that are fixed with preventative maintenance. Machines break sometimes. Better to have one with widely available parts.
>>28676352
The 5.7 doesn’t have a debilitating flaw >Muh hemi tick/lifter knock
Don’t idle for 4,000 fucking hours. Change your oil every 5,000. Problem solved.
>>28676351
Wrong. That is an american mindset. As someone who grew up with jap imports it's something I can't wrap my head around it. A good engine is one with excellent performance that keeps on running even with lax maintenance. With americans they're happy with one or the the other they don't expect both.
>>28676365
"Preventative maintenance" and "known but manageable flaws" just aren't discussion topics in my experience. If they're part of the chrysler fan lexicon that only reinforces my point.
>>28676405
Superior to what? Chrysler are always fucking broke. They get sold and passed around and bailed out by the government all the time They do not have the money to properly R&D their products to the same standards as other PROFITABLE companies and it shows.
>>28675885 (OP)
these are mad cheap here (UK) because the emissions tax is eye watering even on the shitty V6 ones (and no one wants the diesel ones because of clean air zones). and obviously no one wants a 15mpg v8 one either.
the pre-06 ones at least are grandfathered into a cheaper tax bracket.
>>28676355
Wrong. People keep repeating this and it's simply not true. Approximately 5% of all 5.7's had lifters from a bad batch. If it's a bad one it will go regardless of what you do.
>>28675885 (OP) >all the electric components, such as the interior lights, gauge cluster, air conditioning compressor, headlights, and even the transmission shifter solenoid have this "flickering" issue that happens every now and then, which sometimes results in that "flickering" happening for up to a minute or two >"implausible fuel level" code is also thrown (but it's not a CEL) >only found one (1) supposed fix for this which was posted on a chrysler 300 forum and it's to replace the front control module and there's literally no information nor TSB about this particular issue >replace the fcm and program it >a week later while driving I experience a single "flicker" >mfw
>>28676047 >the 3.6 thoughbeit >Applications >Land Yacht >Land Yacht 300 >Land Yacht Charger >Land Yacht Van >Land Yacht Pickup >Land Yatch Injun Limited Edition
can I get this engine in a 2 seater rwd manual car that weighs less than 1500kg?
>>28676221
overly complicated junk.
The old ones with the Buick/Rover V8 were OK(ish)
The mid 2000s era was terrible, but if you could find the BMW M62 powered one, that one was a gem.
