to be fair, a woman wants to feel protected. the world is a dangerous place, there are lions, thugs, big dogs, earthquakes, raccoons, venus fly traps, muggers, things that go bump in the night, wrestlers, accidents, heavy objects, the bermuda triangle and in some cases even bears.
having a man that is easily able to protect you, that can be leaned on for strength and comfort (thus 6ftX) is worth a lot.
if it's any consolation, the decision isn't entirely irrational: tall men on average far out-earn shorter guys because they get promoted faster. this has to do with society, whether we like to admit or not, simply takes them more serious than short guys.
also let's not pretend it's all sunshine for tall guys either: they don't sit very comfortably on most motorcycles and shopping for a pair jeans large enough is a real pain. I'd know, last time I was out alone shopping for hoodies with either funny or sublty sexy anime-ish motives (I'm currently single since 2002) I've watched this 6ft4 guy with his wife and daughter look so fucking annoyed when she brought him pair after pair of jeans.
they even made fun of him lol. "daddy you're too tall, you need to shop at the giant store!" the giant store, lmao. even his wife laughed at that. ofcourse the lanklet didn't have any response either, but since he looked like he spent most of his time doing menial contruction work or lifting dumbbells I don't think there was much going on between his ears anyway.
TL;DR, who cares height is just a number
