Try actually driving a BMW instead of coping about it. Or just BUY one of the cars you mentioned, Sir Copesalot.

S2000s are neat but just get a gr86 with a supercharger. Rx7 interior is hilariously small, I'm 6'2 and could fit in an s2000 okay but the rx7 was a no Bueno for me.

Zoomers don't drive because they can't get jobs or afford anything, and even an entry level car is insanely expensive. The average age to buy a house used to be 20 something now it's mid 30s. anon, you can absolutely still buy an rx-7, prices have been dropping. Learn how to rebuild a rotary, do all the clean-up yourself, and you can get a ragged out FD for about $10k at auction, plus another $3k or so to import it. A gr86 is honestly a good buy, as is an ND miata (lighter than previous gen, finally doesn't look like a girl's car, decent horsepower).
Don't know why you'd want an ek civic unless you're a poorfag, in which case buy a renault megane rs ($6-8k used). Old civic type R's are actually cheap as fuck as well if you import one ($10k after shipping/fees for an EP3).

No bank will give him a $33k loan on an old shitbox at age 20.
$13.5k for an RX-8 is retarded.
$10k for a clean miata is fine, but I'd get a newer ND because it's so much better.
>also i'm in europe so everything is like 1.2x as expensive
Dude, get a fucking megane rs then. Or a fucking diesel giulia in manual transmission and tune it to 240hp for $500. That's a great option, because it's going to be your daily anyway but it'll also outhandle all the stupid cars in your head.
Or import a car from japan, because you have no 15 year or 25 year rule bullshit and get access to the cheap stuff first. You can get a GC8 WRX for under $10k all day long, miatas are cheap as fuck, and same with 86's.
The cheapest manual 86 I see on autoscout24 is 14,000 eurobucks with 161,000km (lol). You can get the exact same car with 81,000km for 5,100 eurobucks from Japan. Shipping from Japan to Europe is cheap (like $1200-1500). And if you buy at auction you'll probably save $1,000 - $2,000 over the prices I'm listing.
A mazdaspeed6 or mazdaspeed3 is literally $5k
Other great options: 1 series BMWs in manual
These cost around $3k starting for a 130i. They have hydraulic steering, manual transmission, and make good horsepower from either a NA engine or a turbo I6.
While car prices are retarded right now, used sports car prices are actually really good.

A 750 hornet costs $8000 and it's light, comfortable, and fun. It does wheelies in second gear if you shut the traction control off. It does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. It's not "bland" by any stretch of the imagination, but you can commute on it or ride it in the city or ride it for hours without fatigue. >Aftermarket Support for Years and shops/tuners everywhere in the country
>Even if you can't make infinity horsepower in one, 300-350whp is still fun as fuck in a short geared <3400lb AWD car (GR can't go past 320whp without floating valves, RS can't go past 380whp without turning into FWD)

The secret is out re: them not taking to mods well and they sold a lot of them so there's a decent amount without mods. It's not worse than any other turbo car honestly.

The parts are stupid cheap brand new and the boxer rumble is fun. I think it sounds a lot better than the Evo I had before, the engine sound is probably one of my favorite parts of STi ownership it gives the car a lot of character and it sounds better than most turbo 4 cylinders comparable to it.

>le cheap JAY DEE EM auction car maymay

Only retards or people who are going to destroy the car anyway (track, stance, or drift builds for example) should do this. If you want a decent street car to drive and admire do not be tempted by the $15k JDM auction FD, it will need $10k+ in body work to make it nice and probably still will need a rebuild within a year since it has been either sitting unroadworthy or abused or they wouldn't be trying to sell it to dumb americans. Don't discount interior problems. If the car has a clapped or modded interior, good interior parts are insanely expensive now.

>It's just cosmetic
Body work is the single most expensive thing you can have to do to a car. Even in rotary world where engines are crazy expensive now compared to 10 years ago, a rebuild at a reputable shop will cost you less than a good paint job with zero body work. Add hundreds for every dent, thousands for any body panel that needs to be replaced. DIY body work and paint are doable but incredibly time consuming and require space to set up a makeshift spray booth unless you want a bunch shit your paint. It's beyond 99% of /o/ posters.

Current market minimum for a nice (no retarded body kit, no shitty journal bearing single turbo kits, no badly installed mods like shitty V mounts or hot air intakes) LHD FD is $30k. Everything below that is either a project or modded in ways that harms its value. The tariffs have impacted imported parts prices too, many things were half the price imported that they were from US suppliers, and after shipping still much cheaper. I haven't placed any orders in a year so I'm not sure how badly the prices have gone up but I've heard it's noticeable.

What are you looking for and what is you price?

If it is just RWD, then I would look at some smaller pickups like a S10 or Ranger. If it needs, to be a car, then check out some 10th gen Thunderbirds or a Solstice/Sky. Pretty much covers everything. Those Jap cars are too expensive, same with the German ones. Sure they are nice, but compromise for now and then, when you can afford what you want, then buy it.
